Nerf starsurge! this is a joke!

Starsurge is the dumbest idea for this game ever.

WHY ON EARTH WHY WOULD MAKE A 200DMG NUKE, masssive range with almost NO mana cost!!!

The game is full of druids you can kill you in 3 buttons. Starsurge, sunfire, moonfire.

The only reason you made stupid SOD was for world PVP, this is a complete disgrace!!!

No clue what you are going on about. Look like 10 threads down on the first page and you will see there is already a thread about this.

Wait until Phase 2 and all the starfire talents apply to it as well.

10% extra base damage
100% extra crit damage
15% chance to stun for 3 seconds
20% extra range (42y on nelf, 44y on tauren)

No mana cost, instant cast, high damage, 6 second cooldown

Something has to give. 100% deserves nerfs.

I guess we will have to wait and see. Blizz seems to just want to make sure all dps is behind warrior and rogue so as long as that doesn’t happen they should be fine.

Its 42 on Tauren as well. Now lets look at another caster… FROST MAGE.
15% chance to freeze for 5 seconds
20% range (36y)
100% extra crit damage
6% damge boost
2% stacking crit debuff (10%)
50% chance to crit on frozen targets

Could go further but I believe that makes a point. Underperforming classes and specs with phase will become power houses right out the gate at 40 next phase.

Haven’t even talked about what the introduction of spell power gear has done in boosting damage. Use to be that you had to hunt for it once you reached 60 as the pieces were far and few between outside of raids. Now every caster will be having a boost if they have been running BFD long enough.

Everyone is going to be boosted significantly from their vanilla counterparts. That’s rather the point.

Yes classic PvP especially SoD PvP is trash.

Casters in general are getting their core talents that define them on the battlefield. I in no way am saying that anyone should be nerfed or anything just that core talents are coming into play that was holding back certain specs from being able to perform.

40 other then 60 has always been my favorite level range for playing in.

Reduce its range to 36 yards with talents, give it a bolt animation to reflect its real travel time and give players the ability to know where the hell it came from, reduce its scaling coeffecient, and add % damage to all abilities in Moonkin form to bring it back up while shapeshifted

You guys have to keep that balance druids don’t get talents that scale for the most part so the 1.0 spelldamage coefficient is making up for a lack of ignite, +spell damage % aura talent, and other things. If you wanna blame anyone for the way it works now, blame vanilla wow’s development team for seemingly not knowing what the hell they were doing when they originally designed balance, a talent tree with less talent support than a damned smite priest build.

It is because we are level 25 and our health pools are so small. This is starsurge’s only issue

Tauren males hit out to 2.55 yards further in melee and in casting. They can also be hit from 2.55 yards further away. Tauren females it’s 2.2 yards. For simplicity I just say 44y.

Not the same. Mages aren’t dropping 44y nukes instantly. They have to hard cast to apply chill effects and this is interruptible. There’s counterplay. This is a large part of my concern.
