Nerf starsurge! this is a joke!

Oh absolutely, they are going to be beasts.
I honestly don’t know what Blizzard intends to do with current endgame content, because at the moment I can’t see it being relevant either in terms of gearing, nor difficulty.

If warriors are already hitting 173dps at 25, by the time they hit 60 and have a little bit of gear in conjunction with their runes…well… let’s just say I’d hate to be an NPC on the receiving end.

That is fair, one of the other major baseline mechanic changes in SoD (which is why I keep arguing against people saying “you can’t change SoD without affecting era”).
It’s definitely a lot harder to see cause and effect with hunter, but I agree scaling probably is a large part of it although I imagine Beast Mastery ties in nicely with that. (Or at least did till the focus regen got slammed)

So druid counters hunter currently and you want them nerfed …shocking. Beast sleep, root, and they beat you down without pet.

Yet i showed how their pvp could be nerfed with extreamly small effect to pve performance. (It makes you have to stand a little closer to the boss instead of 42 yards away, that would be the only real effect)

As a Boomy Druid I can say yes, Starsurge’s massive buff was a bit too much, to the point even hybrid heal druids are taking Starsurge instead of another heal. It’s instant, high range, costs practically nothing (at 25 it costs 4 mana), on low cooldown, and benefits from 100% of +spell damage. 100%!

But the issue is Balance is still garbage in PVE content with this buff, standing in the bottom 5 specs. I have no problem nerfing Starsurge specifically if we get buffed instead across our entire kit. Starfire especially is a complete joke of a spell at this point, with a massive cast time and not damage nor utility to merit using it, even without Starsurge existing.

If unaddressed, it will get worse as others have pointed out, next phase we’ll have extra crit damage, crit chance, and stun chance on an already heavily-loaded spell.

It should get tuned but definitely not returned to its original incarnation. It was beyond trash on first introduction.

Using the same coefficients as other instant casts would be a great start.

I cant even imagine rogues with gutripper or an epic dagger from gnomer.

Druids need buffs. Every log shows them as behind. Expect more buffs.

Lol getting 100% mainhand 62.5% offhand doesn’t mean they get 162.5% benefit of attack power, it means they’re getting 100% benefit on the main-hand attacks and weapon skills that use main hand attacks and 62.5% benefit on the offhand. Why you’re adding them up is a mystery

I was playing with starsurge in my feral gear and I still own people in wetlands can you imagine if i had spell power gear.

Pvp balance does not equal pve balance. Blizzard makes changes for both pvp and pve. The changes i suggested that you refuse to even read would have resulted in an overall BUFF to pve performance while nerfing pvp because it moves the mana efficiency of starsurge from being upfront super cheap to making it actually cost 0 mana after 2 casted spells after it is used because of a mana return mechanic. But you refuse to read what i actually posted so you keep missing that key detail.

If it is any consolation, most of us are forced to be WF totems.

Pretty sure they made it because they know a large chunk of the Classic playerbase isn’t interested in Cata. So to keep them subbed, now that we know for ‘pretty sure’ there won’t be Wrath Era servers, they came up with a Seasonal Server that had a lil more than just classic…a classic plus if you will.
