This has nothing to do with Blizz so why would they post about it?
The community found that you could use old gear in Timewalking to increase power levels and it’s been common knowledge for years.
What point? In Legion were Heroic Dungeons, M+ and the Mage Tower all the same difficulty?
This is the first time we’ve seen anything but scaled versions of super easy Heroic 5 mans from the past or do you think Legion M+ should be faceroll as well?
I think it might be time to admit Blizzard’s ‘woke’ cleanup has done nothing to improve the quality of the game, or the player experience, and was all a show.
This fiasco is the the same old, same old… Blizzard.

Are you kidding me? Legion M+ scales UP to you so that you can use your SL gear.
You know, using the same gear that everyone expects to be used anywhere else in a Timewalking situation, except that doesn’t apply very well in MT.

The point was the INTENTION of Timewalking (which MT falls under now) wasn’t to have to farm a BiS set to do it.

I answered and then you went down the usual rabbit hole.
Using old gear is common in Timewalking and Blizz didn’t need to explain that to you. Even when the tuning adjustments are done using old gear will make things easier as it always does.
You’re wrongly conflating 3 completely different types of content and assume they should all work the same.
Using a system that scales up (Legion M+) to try to justify the perceived common use of timewalking sets (gemmed up and enchanted might I add) is beyond laughable. Rittenhouse’s prosecutor could’ve came up with a better argument.
Legion M+ is nothing more than M+ with different dungeons. Nobody needs to farm old gear or old consumables for it.
Compare that (and any other timewalking event) to MT. You can’t - there’s no comparison.

The two new Timewalking events are not the same as your run of the mill TW’ing Dungeon as I said. The only thing in common is their labeled Timewalking. Timewalking doesn’t have to mean faceroll though.
I agree that every challenge should be tuned around a certain power level just using Shadowlands gear but someone using old gear, enchants and gems would still find it easier and that’s not going to change.
Legion M+ scales up and is entirely irrelevant to your timewalking set argument.
The only timewalking event that effectively requires a full timewalking set (unless you exploit early and often of course) is MT. This was never communicated. What was communicated was a “normalized” level of difficulty. What sane person would expect to farm old stuff for “normalized” difficulty?
I don’t know what your schtick is, but it’s obvious at this point you’re arguing for the sake of arguing, going as far as trying to use irrelevant scenarios to try to prop up your claims. It’s Sunday after all but yeah, I’m done arguing with you.

Until Blizz finishes the tuning they mentioned I’ll hold off on judging this event. For all we know Blizz feels that most of the challenges ARE tuned correctly but it’s hard to judge because old gear, gems and chants make it easier so the smart players are using them.
Since they won’t go the template route for this round it’s going to be hard to judge balance. Better players are usually the most informed and thus they’re using old gear and succeeding.
Beat Xylem on 2 different characters yesterday.
The key to beating it for me was the vendor outside the mage tower itself. Nethershards for gear. Just sat there till I got a few pieces with sockets/could be enchanted. Nice dps boost for phase 2.
This won’t help for phase 1. But if short on dps for phase 2, this’ll help add another 100 or so. If your pathing is bad, this won’t help.
This is the equivalent to gearing up later in Legion. More gems/enchants = higher ilvl equivalent.
Yeah , no they wernt, the nerfs were pathetic . Boss health in P1,P2 by 30% so near back to PTR level thats a nerf. Reduce the damage they Ninja increase from PTR . Thats a NERf. What they did really didnt change anything

Funny then how we’re seeing posts about people beating it now and saying the nerfs were what helped them get over the hump.

oR maybe , just maybe its still overtuned. People are expecting more NERFS this coming RESET and resubbed for this . U can guarentee a high influx of unsubs unless something more is done

I don’t see it as trolling to tell you that the challenge was nerfed and that players are reporting that they can complete it now and have received their appearance.
iTS THE WAY U go about it and im sorry but you are trolling . In alot of players eyes , The nerf simply wasnt enough
