So are they changing the battle of Gilneas to? And how Sylvannas attacked the city? There’s quite a few questlines in there and southshore/hillsbrad they would have to get rid of.
With all the retcons remember they like to push books out for players to buy. Then later they decide the stuff is cannon. What happens in the books and game are two different things these days. So the characters in game never experienced what goes on in the books.
So at this point the books seem pointless. It’s no different then a player trying to tell there own version of the lore/events. Hence the story forums. But your paying for someone elses version. That doesn’t really ever happen in game.
Well I guess they truly have decided to just ignore the piss poor writing they did in BFA and sweep the entire events under a rug. If they some how now turn Tyrande into a villain, I will finally be done with this game.
What version of BFA have you been playing that would make you think this is a joke? Seems pretty par for the course with how disjointed BFA’s “story” was. Hopefully the dungeons and raids are still fun.
Well for what it is worth, they re-wrote Forsaken once before like at the start of Cata to reflect that the Lich King was gone and that they had a new reason to live and go forward. So why now with the changes to everything there wouldn’t be a new prelude to the forsaken when you make one that has nothing really to do with anything to do with the past events but the new ones going forward.
Sure, ‘new’ Horde characters didn’t experience it. Therefore they should be educated on the fact that their faction did another genocidal activity, and that’s what led to BFA.
Blizzard decides to not force Alliance players to experience content they have said over and over they hated. Clearly Horde bias!
There is no evidence they are saying Teldrasil didn’t happen. Thing missing in an alpha build means nothing.
Though, in fact, I would be in favor of retconning it, and the entire BfA storyline, away.
And Blizzard not making returning players feel like villains in their own story? Good. Blizzard needs the subs and they pay the same subscription that Alliance players do.
Idk about that, but I was thinking about the change to the Undead starting line, maybe that has something to do with Calia? It would be really, really dumb, but unfortunately it’s very much possible.
The rest I’ll just leave as bad writing, but that one has been somewhat shown in game, with the Voss vs Calia encounter.
Most likely there trying to ignore Teldrassil and rush Calia out into the spotlight. Just so players won’t feel bad about being horde or forsaken. My guess is they probably seen a drop in forsaken players.
That said, this retcon is… Kinda dumb. That’s what happens however when one of the factions develop schizophrenia and is tugged in both ‘evil’ and ‘good’ directions.
