Which means the Horde PC is going to party it up with Tyrande? Really? Before her journey of self-discovery? Jeezus Blizz is lazy. God I just love getting talked down to by that woman.
Yes they did, they literally said that was going to be part of Tyrandes’ story. Looking for answers.
You really think the writers are dumb enough to have your home burned to the ground, your innocents murdered, and left to rot within the confines of WC hell for app eternity? Even though we, the “mighty champions of Azeroth” are literally going there?
Rhetorical question, don’t answer…
I mean, we gotta stop Sylvanas and “The Jailer” somehow, and what better way to do that than simply freeing all if those who were wrongfully sent there?
Well, is that what you want? Do you want your people to be continually butchered, destroyed, humiliated, and forgotten?
Cuz I personally want Tyrande and the Night Elves to get a satisfactory conclusion to what they’ve had to go through, but that’s just me.
Your pessimistic outlook towards the future of the Night Elves is only going to hold you back, dude.
They said that Tyrande will be in Ardenweald, nothing about Elune. Also I take things like that with a grain of salt because they often lie to us. Tyrande might not even be there.
That’s exactly what’s going to happen, I’m betting on it. They are the same writers who said that NE got their revenge in 8.1 and then completely ignored them after.
They can’t express their hate for Night Elves better than having their innocents suffer in the maw forever.
Because that would be good for the night elves and that’s not allowed to happen with the current writing team.
Uh sure I want a satisfying conclusion but for the night elves it’s either getting ignored or getting destroyed. At the start of BfA it was getting destroyed, after it was getting ignored. At the start of Shadowlands it will likely be more destruction of the race again.
not pessimistic, just realistic. I was optimistic about 8.1 and see where that got me. Can’t believe that I was stupid enough to think that the revenge patch for the night elves would include revenge for the night elves.
I only play one video game. Its been the only game I played for years. I am going to play the expansion with 100% certainty if I am alive when it is released. Regardless of how buggy or lame or good it will be. I will buy it and play it to see for myself. And I get to use the boost and have another 120 Alt ASAP while I wait for its release.
I dont see why preordering would make one a fool. Maybe for a totally new or entirely different video game. But when I preorder an expac, I am pretty familiar with the game it is expanding upon.
Well I think for an additional 20 bucks you get the boost and a month of game time. Which is still a good deal, imo.
While I am not looking to jump into this debate as a whole, I do want to remind everyone that Baine and Wrathion were both planned as being part of Highmountain.
I wouldn’t bank on Tyrande being there until we start seeing PTR datamining on the zone.
Ok and I get that, but you might be taking it with a bit too much salt, considering that they are capable of satisfying story beats on occasion. Legion was trash, but they still managed a few truly excellent bits of lore and character development like with Velen. BfA was an abomination, but it gave us nice things like major Bwonsamdi and Shandris action.
Just gotta hope that Tyrande will be one of those well-handled things after having now two expansions of less than ideal representation.
Well they’re getting back to in 9.0, maybe even as soon as 8.3.5 if they want to lay the groundwork for it in pre-patch. Who knows.
These are also the same people who can apparently make legitimately solid new characters like Delaryn and Flynn.
Maybe they’ll surprise you.
By that logic they’re expressing their hatred for the Horde by having it lose yet another iconic figure to the villain bat and making the entire faction out to be a band of relapsing murder addicts who will drop all moral pretenses aside whenever they’re enabled by the one who hold their leash at the time.
That really shouldn’t be the case at this point in the story, but according to Bfa, that’s exactly what it is. All I can do is hope that it changes just as you can hope that you get the narrative payoff you desire.
I know, right. But apparently we don’t want that. We want Blizzard to continue writing crap since that’s all they’re apparently capable of atm.
It doesn’t seem like you do though, since you’re constantly focusing on the negatives of the situation and assuming that the writers are going to continue screwing your race over rather than hope something good actually happens.(who’d think right) If all you expect is crap and disappointment, then that’s all you’re ever going to get.
I know that being “hopeful” isn’t going to resolve the problem either, but it’s better than just assuming the worst.
I’m not saying you gotta throw all your skepticism to the winds and put all your faith that the writers are going to deliver the perfect outcome, but at least try to keep in mind that maybe, just MAYBE, Blizzard might actually do something right in SL?
I mean, it’s basically guaranteed at this point that SL will be Sylvanas’s final expansion. So at the very least, the other murderer of the night elves will finally go away for a very long time. Chances are, the dead of Teldrassil will see some closure of some sort whether their spirits are given peace or due to the broken death system some come back and Nelves have a population again. Another fact is, you still got ALL members of your core roster alive, which I doubt will change much in SL and maybe then some as well like maybe seeing Kur’talos or someone.
I know this might be kinda cheesy and very stupid but Teldrassil is a people, not a place. Who cares about some measly, outdated, piece of land so long as your core roster is intact. Not to mention multiple places they can relocate in the case that it ever gets addressed, which I’m certain it will. You just gotta think about what can happen, not the things that won’t happen. Cuz they’ve revealed next to nothing on SL, so we still don’t really know who the big characters we’ll be going in there with.
It’s probably either no Tyrande at all or negative attention once again.
Well the revenge part is completely over, they didn’t mention anything about revenge or justice in shadowlands and I find this whole thing so disgusting and insulting.
1 Val’kyr that Sylvanas can recreate for thousands of innocents in hell. What. The. Hell.
I mean I tried to be optimistic, I really tried and hoped that it really can’t be over after the burning of Teldrassil and the complete destruction of the race, but it shockingly was over. It’s just sooo obvious that the writers hate night elf fans, they even rubbed salt into the wound by telling us that all innocents that died will forever be in eternal torment in the maw, just think about how tasteless and disgusting that is.
I really have my deepest doubts of the writers ever willing to give us a single good moment.
I don’t think that’s guaranteed. The writers surely want to have her around for even more expansions.
Anything that doesn’t end in her death in the hands of a night elf character is completely unacceptable. I can already tell she will be redeemed though.
I think that’s very very unlikely. If the writers didn’t hate the night elves it would surely be likely, but with the current team…
I just don’t want to get myself hyped up for unbiased and realistic storytelling because the team is not capable of that. They are only capable of selfish and distasteful story writing that praises their toys Nathanos and Sylvanas while they keep destroying the night elves (guess they got ganked by night elf players some time? I don’t see how someone can develop such hatred for a part of the fanbase) in the most horrible ways. They couldn’t atleast let the innocents have a decent afterlife, nope they should all be in eternal torment and pain just to make the whole thing even worse. I didn’t think they would really go that far.
Which is a little annoying in itself. Why work with the people who are responsible for your people dying in the first place? Especially when they’ve still shown no regret for their actions.
On topic: I play to raid with people so regardless of the story I’ll still be here.
