Im VERY sure my grandkids are being taught ‘science’ that is VERY different from what I was taught in the 70s.
Science is interpreted by the person viewing it. And VERY often VERY qualified persons come to VERY different conclusions

We WILL question the ‘science’ where it contradicts itself and/or doesnt make logical sense.
I think a lot of this depends on specifics. When I’m old enough, I’d probably want to sell or give away everything, too. After all, you can’t take it with you, and any kids I raise would be so spoiled that they wouldn’t deserve it. I’d probably sign my house over to be converted into a homeless shelter or something.
On the other hand, if she sold everything because she’s struggling cognitively, you have a point because she is acting against her own best interest and the wishes she held when she was of sound mind.
The only way to know which is which would be to have her mental state evaluated, but from the sound of it, it’s already too late in this case.

She lost a grandchild to drugs in 2020, then a month later her husband died of cancer.
Shes been very depressed since then, so im sure its partially the depression.
She also has behaved very illogically and irrationally since I was very young, making very important decisions based on momentary emotional outbursts.
Its my fault, all of her kids fault, that we were paying more attention to our own problems and missed the symptoms, I honestly believe.

And if you are not a very qualified person, your job is to listen to qualified people and follow the guidance of the consensus. It’s not complicated. If you’re not a scientist, you have no business questioning scientists. You don’t know what they know. Go learn it and then you can open your mouth.

I mean, if we’re talking about the “vaccine” here, there’s a lot of problems on both sides.
For one thing:

Notice the bold part, this “vaccine” doesn’t do that, it at best lessens your systems and chances of dying. However it is still no guarantee, fully vaccinated and boosted people have died from covid still. I have a family member currently approaching 70 days in hospital with covid and he’s fully vaccinated and boosted. Currently my brother and sil, both fully vaccinated and boosted are suffering from covid.
People losing their jobs over not taking this “vaccine” is just wrong when it is not stopping anything anyway.
But on the other side, it’s not implanting you with chips, or giving you ghonasyphaherpelaids, or making you a 5g receptor, it’s just giving you a better chance if and when you get covid.

You can’t demand anything, you’re not even a scientist. I can criticize you all day and offer no supporting evidence because you don’t have the education to validate your opinion, so we’re just a couple of know-nothing’s throwing dirt at each other.
I don’t care. I don’t take orders from anyone, I understand principles and I pay attention to results.
I get vaccines because they work. It’s weird anyone would be suspicious of a COVID-19 vaccination when everyone has been vaccinated against at least 14 different diseases when they were children. If the government wanted to poison you, they’d do it when you’re 6 months old.
Secondly, I used to get sick every 3 months like clockwork. Sometimes more often than that. I started wearing my mask at the start of the pandemic and have worn it without exception every single time I have left the house. I haven’t been sick since then and it has been more than 2 years. Masks work.
Fauci isn’t someone I really pay attention to. There are thousands of scientists out there who can explain how masks and vaccines work, and I prefer to hear it from someone who doesn’t work for Washington, D.C.

okay, you seem to be having a joke on … something, I’m not quite sure what. That said, the best part about science is the fact they constantly question themselves, they acknowledge they learn more from mistakes than successes. If this is about the vaccine and a previous argument I’ve made a choice on that based on my own research and doctor consultation, but it is far away from the op.
So, anything on the game, microsoft, or Neil Young you’d care to impart? I’m learning a lot about him in this thread I find fascinating.

Yes, consensus changes when incorrect information is refuted and new information is proven. Science is a self-correcting mechanism, not a dogma that never changes.
