… you cannot guarantee loot drops with GL. So yes, it absolutely changed things for group stacking. And I’ve never once been whispered for gear since GL was introduced.
This is such a bunch of bs it’s not even funny. People with higher ilevel got the pieces at a lower ilevel over others with PL. The same as they can now.

The loot drops in PL were based on the group make up, because it rolled to see who got loot, then rolled to give a piece for the spec they’re set to. Only leather drops if the group is all leather because of this. Change loot spec to Feral and take in a bunch of Druids, DHs, Monks and Rogues… you could completely kit out the new leather wearer who is the guild’s newest FotM.
GL cannot guarantee what drops, as it simply randomizes anything from that boss and then rolls to see who gets it based off our choice of need or greed/transmog. Group stacking is nearly useless on GL.
It happened in LFR quite a lot. The ilevel of that tier for prog guilds didn’t matter and they came into LFR to gear their newest FOTM.

Yes it absolutely did. Because the group had a much higher chance of getting that gear piece for the new they’re gearing up and that loot was predetermined by the group make up.

Anyone can run any raid and help any team out. They don’t get denied loot because you want to act selfish. Your position will always be the bad take.
No honey. I never win drops. Which is why I said it’s no different than PL where we could go weeks without seeing gear.
And I’m also a big advocate of being able to pass on what’s an ilevel upgrade but a stat downgrade. I do it all the time on rings, trinkets and necks. Let others get the stats they need. PL kept me from being able to trade those crap pieces to someone who actually needs them. Now I can just pass.

yesterday in LFR I lost 2 weapon rolls to 2 different people with much better weapons equipped (yes I looked). It’s beyond frustrating. some guy on the final boss won 4 items.

In all the many times I did it, I never had it once bug out. That being said, certainly believe it has bugged out for others. This is wow after all.
- This happens in PL too.
- Stop inspecting people. Just take the roll L and move on.
And he probably won’t see winning rolls again for quite some time.

Yeah, it did for me a couple of times. My ticket responses were, “We can’t replace it. Don’t do that, just loot so it doesn’t get lost.”
one of my characters has loot.
the other four, including this one, can’t get drops from lfr for nothing.
Literally almost every item that drops goes to somebody already in Champion tier gear or higher. Then a bunch of people in blues just waiting around hoping for five weeks andonly getting vault loot.

Yeah, now people roll need for every loot and instead of harassment whispers we get to see a digital auction. This loot system is extremely frustrating, lot worse than PL in general. Also, 90% of the time I get to win an item, I get whispers of people sayin “Xk for the item”, so it’s not like the whisper problem vanished lol

Yesterday on the last boss a person won 2 of the same thing, 2 of the tokens, which I overheard somebody saying in the raid they can’t even get both of them, and the 2nd itme would just be lost because it will reward it to the player who scored 2 99’s???
Simply saying RNG as an explanation for everything is so lame. It’s like the easiest non-thoughtful response. Something is bogus with this system.

where in my post did I say I hated them for winning items? I inspected them out of curiosity. I didn’t even whisper them begging for the weapons. I just moved on like you said. So stick it.
This wouldve happened with PL as well if gold was able to be traded cross realm during PLs time.

Yes but there’s a difference. If I get an item because the GAME gave it to me and I want to sell it, fine. But people purposefully roll need on an item for the SOLE purpose of selling it, that’s cancer.
