Getting really sick of going three weeks doing LFR, Normal and Heroic clearing most of them each week and haven’t won a single roll on anything, then watching some guys walk away with multiple items from the same boss. It’s fine that Mythic raiding is like it is, guilds give loot for progression, but when you are doing raids week having zero bad luck protection (or super good luck prevention) is just bad design. Just make it back like in Shadowlands for sub-Mythic raiding, it is far more PuG friendly and still allows guilds to do what they do. It still had the randomness, but didn’t leave people just demoralized knowing the vault was their sole slow means of gear progression.
yep, just done running 4 toons through normal not one piece of loot… now to heroic pug hell to get you guessed it NO LOOT. I’ve had one item in the past 3 weeks of raiding on 4 toons… really wish I could pause my wow sub an pray personal loot comes back eventually… if it wasn’t for delves and vault I literally wouldn’t be playing anymore.
I thought season 1 of DF did a good job with the vendor gear for elemental whatever currency. A combination of the two systems would be ideal.
No one was ever guaranteed loot with PL. All it guaranteed was group stacking and harassment whispers.
Anyone who says they never went a full raid without getting anything in PL is lying.
The reason you don’t get items in raid has nothing to do with the system used to distribute that loot, it’s entirely because the quantity of loot dropped by raid bosses is pitifully low.
Blizzard wants you to gear primarily in delves and/or dungeons.
You lost me with the double negative.
Everyone who did raiding regularly in SL with PL had raids where they didn’t get anything.
Back on the LFR context, minimum 10 people got nothing from a 3 boss wing.
I really don’t get people issues with this. You could have ran LFR for three weeks in the past and got no loot even if it was personal, you just never seen the roll window show up. It’s no different to how it is now, just you have to decide if you want to roll on an item or not.
I got ya now.
The looting system will always be terrible as long as people can “inspect” others.
Remove the ability to inspect others during raids and suddenly no one will feel cheated because they lost something to someone who “really doesn’t need it because they already have on a…”
Just my thoughts. Disable inspect others in LFR.
Then they’ll just get on the armory and look those people up. So we’ll still see the rage threads. lol
Putting a blanket over the problem doesn’t make it go away.
They really should just make it fair to begin with.
Players with a higher track piece of gear should not be allowed to roll, it’s just asinine that anything thinks otherwise, if you are running LFR and have a champion or hero piece of gear on, you don’t need the LFR one, even for tier pieces since you can use the catalyst. And even without tier pieces, someone with 8/8 champion or 4/6 hero or better is going to hit harder than someone with 4 LFR tier pieces.
Then allow for players to farm mogs, give it as an additional roll for everyone so we can all go in for something. They already give a chance for a warbound piece of gear to drop personally just for you, why not give us a chance to see a mog piece drop just for you.
As it stands you don’t even need gear, or a brain to run LFR anymore. Last boss doesn’t need any hands on, it auto splits the group and puts them nicely onto the correct platform both times, the only thing you need to do is break your own root and jump over the poison yourself, that’s it, everything else is basically automated and made to ensure you cannot ever fail unless people are just standing still inside all the crap.
And that’s the last boss, the second last boss is just as easy, I would hate to think what the earlier bosses are like. I even tanked LFR at 560 iLVL and only died once when I done a /rw to ask people to swap to adds, which don’t even do anything other just be an add that you can cleave to make your DPS meter look good.
Maybe they could just give currency to allow people to run X bosses and buy what they want.
There is no problem. Loot drops. People win or lose. We move on. We get gear from the Vault or Delves or the other myriad of different ways.
Disable inspect during LFR, would be disabled…404’d toons on the second monitor for the lurkers, tin foil hat treatment.
Maybe even a site redirect that says “this character is in action and cannot be viewed until idle. Please stop standing in the fire and worry about yourself!” Or something. Heh
In a way, players got used to an item being theirs as soon as they 1st saw it with PL, and now (2 years later) some people are still haven’t adjusted to that no longer being true.
So in a sense, PL helped create this level of entitlement (as if we needed another reason it was garbage in raids).
That’s not “fair.” That’s acting entitled when those people are participating just like we are.
Your own thread failed due to falsehoods. You going for broke now?
No they didn’t. They whispered people demanding the gear and harassing them until they had to put the children on ignore.
The bratty entitlement has always been there. lol
How do you mean? It’s never important to what others have when you lose a roll. Blanket or not.
People just don’t think about anyone but themselves, they just assume their time is more important than your time.
you know what, fair enough.
Nothing’s going to stop Karens Karening, so we should stop trying.
