Sounds like you need to double check it, I haven’t had any issues going back and forth between ret and prot. Be sure you’re not setting it to current spec.
And that is the counter-example I was looking for there. So – is there a specific example where one cannot roll Need (Main Spec or Off Spec) on a trinket that they would benefit from / gain player power?
And if not, that does mean that perhaps we need to refine what’s meant by “player power”. We already know the boundaries of transmog – either you can or you can’t – but it’s that whole definition of “what is an upgrade” that is ill-defined – likely on purpose.
The system is fine.
You should stop inspecting people because you’re mad you lost.
Change “need” roll description to “I want it”.
Change “greed” roll description to “I will take it if no one wants it”.
Then, maybe people can stop arguing about whether someone really “needed” the loot or not. They simply wanted it for whatever reason.
I want cloth robes for my pally to sell.
Whoops. Doesn’t work.
Because the roll has little to do with the individual, it has to do with the definition of what you can or cannot roll on based on Blizzard’s rules.
Anything I can DE and use those mats increases my player power.
Anything I can sell gives me the opportunity to increase my player power through crafting and the AH.
Just drop greed and tmog. Either roll or pass.
Well, we know that’s not it… because the system doesn’t allow that carte blanche.
I thought what the system allows didn’t count as “the rules” to you
Another day another “I lost a loot roll” Thread. Adds it to the pile
I have started viewing the LFR pl crowd the same as a certain “equality group” and see how they only want the rules to apply when it’s a benefit to them.
It’s kind of eye opening the similarities
But that’s impossible, OP. I was told the issue of loot begging was completely solved with the advent of GL. You…you mean to tell me it wasn’t???
…I’m shocked! Shocked I say!
I mean, Ive been in the LFR crowd since SL S2, it’s very different from the GD LFR crowd.
The biggest shock is people just blinded by being mad that they lost after 20 years of it being like this.
if you whisper me after i won a need roll, it better be to offer a lot of gold. of course people need it. that’s why they hit need.
No one has told you that. Stop making things up.
I’m starting to think it’s one person with a lot of Alts.
It’s due to mobile games and the newer gaming generation expecting instant rewards.
Welcome to; Human 101
Earning lower item level transmogs when you loot a higher one makes so much sense there is about a zero percent chance Blizzard does it.
Wouldn’t be surprised, most of these threads are from throwaway alts that never come back after the op.
Blizz wants them in the lower raids carrying and staying on the hamster wheel longer.
Whomp whomp. Did you lose a roll? Poor thing.
