NEED system in LFR is Flawed

It really pisses me off when you are in LFR and you need a item such as Shoulders, and roll NEED and other players with HIGHER item level Shoulders like Hero Roll NEED and win the roll, then you whisper them and they ignore you!!! This system is flawed and needs adjustments!

Well I wanted to gear up all my 47 level 70’s I never ever come on these stupid forums, but it’s sad to see the toxic people that reply and are clueless how to play the game, yes a lv486 player needed on the shoulders and he had no business getting that loot it did no good for him, but was an upgrade for me. So he stole from the needy.

I think what is flawed is the logic. Whispering someone after they win a roll that they chose to need on makes no sense. Unless they accidentally clicked need I don’t know why they would think, “hmm, this stranger bothered me, let me give them this loot I came for because they think they should win it and I shouldn’t.”

they need for mog

Gonna be a bit mean here but:

Side note everyone is entitled to any loot in LFR, Normal and Heroic, if they can roll for it, while I do not agree with reselling gear. If they can roll for it then they can do so, its just an unfortunate nature of the group loot system that is overall the same as personal loot, just more visible.

I would say the need system is flawed because the restrictions they told us were going to make it fair don’t seem to have been implemented.

I roll need on mogs and if anyone whisper me giving them the loot I won I put it right away and ask them to inspect me again. And dance around their character.

Yes it needs blown to bits.

Thanks for not suggesting personal loot as it doesn’t fix anything.

What’s your solution?

PERSONAL LOOT NEEDS TO COME BACK! It is the best loot system

Fair is subjective. What these arguments boil down to is equality vs equity.

I mean the simple solution is to restrict the ability for players to roll on loot that is a lower tier than the current loot they have in their bags or equipped.

Do you have proof that they weren’t implemented? I have a lot of items grayed out for me when I run raids based on what I’m already wearing. I won’t rule out the possibility of the occasional bug, but there is absolutely nothing that I’ve seen across multiple characters since the start of DF that would indicate some major protection was outright not implemented or so buggy as to not be better than the alternative.

And suddenly everyone is afraid to roll on trinkets unless it’s their BIS.

Just give ilvl requirement a ceiling so that after a certain ilvl you can’t even queue for lfr

Let the lfr heroes flop around wondering why they are getting 10 stacks of determination

Then they can argue amongst themselves who “deserves” what

I think this would solve nothing but would be hilarious to watch.

It’s a problem when “what is fair to me” involves making other players sorry that they paid to play a game that seems to be mostly entitled grifters who are there for no purpose than to charge them hundreds of dollars for gear.

If you interpret “what’s fair for me and good for the game” as “the game should tax ungeared players and send the money directly to me, because I deserve their money”, that’s a problem, because you working to make the playerbase look like the game is a toxic elitist cesspool isn’t going to attract new players needed to replace those who leave.

One solution would be to put an ilvl cap and then tune it for the players who it used to be intended for before the design intent was turned into getting noobs to buy tokens so elitists would have gold to sell for real money.

It grays things out based on whether you have it or not, I can still roll on lower level items even thought I have a higher equivalent equipped. Yet if its something I don’t already jab or have equipped, then I can need roll on the item.

lol Usually in LFR when I fram mogs I see 2 to 4 people doing over 250k dps in trash over 150k on boss then it falls off next highest few people are around 60 to 80k then the rest below 50k some even 20k and somehow these 20k dps people are still alive after the boss is down.

Now with a restrction the top damage dealer is going to do maybe 50 to 70k on boss or less. Don’t think they can meet the dps checks.

I always laugh when doing LFR since it is going to take longer than doing heroic raid farm

If everyone is doing the mechanics, those heroic and mythic geared players are not necessary. A full team of 424 ilvl players could beat each, or at least most, encounters, if they did the mechanics properly. It’s a very big “if” because a lot of people go in and don’t know the encounters, die immediately, are afk, etc. a lot, but not most.

I run a lot of LFR. My experience is largely positive and I rarely see issues. In the past on some final bosses I have joined into a group that has 5 or more stacks of determination. Haven’t seen it a lot this expansion.

But it is nice to have those higher geared players to run thru LFR with. I’d hate to see them stop participating because they were ineligible for loot. Sometimes the best tint for a set comes from LFR.
