I’m telling your that these are not 2 different results, but the same result wearing 2 different hats, which is evidently enough to fool you.
Each wing only drops enough items for 40 to 60% of the raid to get anything, so no items from from a full clear is not that unexpected. And PL does nothing to change that math.
Geared people do not exist to run you through content and gear you up. Why do they care if you need it? It isn’t like giving it to you or passing on it benefits them in any way. They spent their time and effort and under your social rules, would never have a chance to get anything to show for it.
But to be fair, I really do legit hope Blizzard monkeys paws your wish one day and only trash geared (and likely skilled) players like yourself are in queue content and rolls are weighed by who has the worst gear for that slot so it becomes a race to the bottom on who has the trashiest character.
I’ve noticed these last 2 weeks has been pretty bad for people “beg whispering”, Prior to this I received 0 whispers. There isn’t much I can actually roll for in LFR anymore save for a few mog pieces and the Hearthstone toy. Not to sound like a jerk, but if I rolled need and won, I’m not giving it up especially when I did 75K more DPS then the next person and over 100K more then the beggar.
Sometimes people tend to forget everyone loses rolls.
is the system flawed? yes
is anything going to be done about it? no
people will need on items just because they can - forget raiding good manners and helping your fellow player- it doesnt exist anymore and blizz has made it this way.
just join the club and need everything you can, anyone that moans i now just tell them to go post on the forums about it.
if you really want to rub in in you can de the object infront of them or just vendor it (you can then need and win it all over again next week )
Show what dropped. Let people choose to need if they don’t already have the identical item at same or higher ilevel or the transmog. Otherwise just greed or pass. Only the player that wins gets notified they won.
edit: soulbind any item that’s needed in LFR to prevent trading and selling
Blizzard didn’t add features that directly influence whether players will care to help other raiders. They added a queueable raid that puts strangers together which addresses several issues with the challenges of forming a raid. The upshot is that there is no benefit for one player to help another in LFR. That item you trade to someone isn’t likely to make a difference in your success in that raid and you are never going to see them again.
You can certainly reduce this to bad raid etiquette, but there’s also just the practical function of wanting to get something out of your limited play time. If I always yield my roll to a lower geared player, I will never get an item from raid if I’m spending any time in higher difficulty raids or M+. With consistent raids (or raids that could be consistent), I can expect that even if I yield to someone lower geared today, that both benefits me because next week’s raid will be easier and I will have an opportunity in a subsequent week to get the item.
-<Incoming wall of text. Roll 1d20 against mental anguish or loose 3 intelligent points and take 255 damage.>-
I understand your dilemma. However, this one statement is what my reply is based on. I am old school player; I been gaming longer than most of the player base and game developers have been alive. I follow the Need before Greed etiquette that was established by the players from that era, and I will continue to follow that etiquette no matter how the times change.
Does this mean that I will not get some kind of pixel? Yes, but in the end all it was, was a pixel that didn’t improve my game play at all. Did I win it because it was a gear upgrade, yes but even then, it is only temporary until the next season / expansion comes out.
Good players rely on skill not some artificial look. Robbing players of upgrades so they can do better with that skill to help everyone beat content is the issue. We need to stop fighting against each other and work on addressing the issue Blizzard has so far ignored.
Blizzard not separating trans mog rolls to a separate roll for appearance only, is what the trans mog community should be pushing for. The people gearing are trying to get that by discussing it, but the trans mog people are fighting back against them. Until both sides get on the same page and both sides demand Blizzard fix the problem, we will keep having a new post every few days that re-hashes the same issue.
Goodluck in game. Enjoyed your comment and may the game favor you on your next loot roll.
Thank you for that hard work that you have done. It made it easier for everyone to beat the content. We understand that people lose rolls, but the problem is Blizzard failed in regard how trans mog hunters can only win a piece if they roll need because need takes president over trans mog instead of giving them a separate roll for an appearance only version.
Had Blizzard taken this into account when adding trans mog as a choice, by making it a separate roll, a higher version gives all lower versions, or maybe give Alchemy armor dyes then these posts would go away and we as a group could get back to beating content.
Hope your day ends with the loot god favoring your RNG.
It’s just as easy to get gear from doing the 3 events in ED that reward chests, honestly. I’ve gotten more loot that way than running LFR on my alts.
I’m more bothered by the fact that the same person can win multiple items from the same boss. More than once I’ve seen one person win 3 items from a single boss, not to mention anything else they’ve won from other bosses.
The flipside of that is I’ve been the person that has won 2 items from one boss, and I felt like all eyes were on me, I felt so guilty.
No they don’t, because they can get LFR shoulders way easier then just rely on random drop. They can transform many pieces of gear that they can get in 3 min for different sources.
