Need before Greed: Why causals and solo players quit

But it objectively does less to prevent the outcome you’re complaining about than the GL will after the patch.

That’s great for the future, but the issue I had happened tonight. We’ll see if that really makes a difference. Good night

Which still would have happened with PL.

rolling need for transmog is a perfectly legit roll. An upgrade is in no way more important (or less) than a transmog roll. I am a casual solo player and find the loot system perfectly fine as is.

The point is ‘gimme now’ or I quit. Sorry your run wasn’t one and done.

Highly doubt your mission, should you have obtained that item, was to run the instance a few more times to help others get it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

If the reason they didn’t get any items today is the fact that you were permitted to roll need on gear you can’t even equip, you did and won, then you and your entitled greed are the problem.

They put group loot into LFR to troll players, then when people voiced concerns about how it failed in the past, told us there would be restrictions on rolling need, restrictions they didn’t actually put in.

I heard enough stories by players in the target demographic that they weren’t getting gear because all the gear was going to high geared players; stories by high geared players that all the gear was going to them and none to undergeared ones; and demands by already high geared players that all the gear should go to them because “transmog is forever” to believe that you and your ilk were sucking up all the gear just to keep it from people who need it, with daddy blizzard’s collusion and blessing.

They don’t change the game on a complaint or two. My guess is that between that stunt where they said they would be increasing availability of world quests then immediately changing that decision because of popular demand by their pet demographic, and designing LFR group loot to minimize a low ilvl player’s chance of getting any loot at all, enough casuals left that they had to rethink both.

Of course they couldn’t admit they were wrong. But you need casuals to pay the cost of your hideously expensive content that they don’t even use outside of LFR. And apparently they were barely queueing for that anymore.

They blew it. They were laughing about it until it was clear players were quitting over that and the elitist toxicity it brought out. Seriously, a mage was able to need on plate and mail? You guys were rolling on everything just to vend it out. It was “fair” that high geared players were rolling on multiples of tier tokens and winning them both?

If you despise other players so much that you want to wreck their experience in the game, perhaps you should be playing a single player game where you won’t run into people whose existence offends your sensitive feefees.

lol Blizzard made it toxic with the incomplete looting system.

End of story. That’s all that you needed to say.

They helped kill the boss and they won.

Personal loot does absolutely nothing to combat any of these.

GL already does something, and will do more in 2 weeks.

No one “who is geared out in Mythic + gear” plays the game for 5-6 hours a’day

This is a fallacy ya’ll folks trolling on GD really need to stop with if you want to come off as anything other than obvious trolls
Absolutely no one quits the game because of this behaviour ya’ll keep describing especially when in 9/10 times its not even a real behaviour ya’ll keep talking about

Pretty sure I couldn’t roll on all the tier that dropped off a boss…and win it all before we lost PL.

You will be delighted to know that this particular bug has been fixed.

But i can equip it and i can use it. So your whole argument falls apart right here?

Right, certainly Blizzard implemented a bias in their rng to make loot always go to the one with the best gear. Is this really your argument? Or should we maybejust chalk this up to bias when people claim that they ALWAYS lose and the mean, bad high-ilvl players ALWAYS win?

Where do you see that? I only see people wanting a fair chance for everyone. At least thats the vast majority of people talking here, before you manage to dig out one random post who wants that.

That it wasn’t squashed before it went live just shows that PL was better.

No, it shows that the game released around the holidays in the US, and blizzard gives people time off for them.

Yep. Already at that point after tonight, the bow I had yet to see drop so far got taken by the only other hunter who already had a better weapon than me and wasn’t even in the top ten DPS for the fight (I was 4th).

Most of what I’ve gotten was lucky drops from world bosses or the vault, anything with group loot has been a total S***show from day one.

Could’ve saved time using PL again…but hey office politics I guess.

Could have saved time and left us in SL till now.

That doesn’t make sense. More context.

Transmog, disenchant it for mats, put it in the AH for gold. Not really any of your business, is it?

If the system gives them the opportunity to roll on loot, they’ve done nothing wrong. It’s been said before, but it bears repeating - it’s not your loot until it’s in your bag.
