maybe 10 years ago i would have agreed with you, when death knights only summoned a single undead at a time. but nowadays unholy deathknight is summoning 10+ undead pretty much non stop, with at least 5 different types of undead while casting death coils and plagues. its a necromancer in all but robes.
also feel like the cloth horde manager has been occupied by demonology warlocks pretty handily, and affliction warlock covers the whole drains and curses thing.
so necromancer really doesnt have room to do a thing that they didnt already do with other classes/specs. wasnt the case 10 years ago but now i think theyâd really have trouble making it stand out.

Aye, even the private realms with necromancers, they changed the class systems so completely that necromancers are more like warlocks now. Ascension realm has necros and theyâre a mix of warlocks, mages and death knights.
Isnt that just Dk or a warlock?

Only if Paladins are actually Priests.
Yes, been waiting long enough!
Also, DK and Necromancer are different things.
Saying otherwise would be like saying Paladin and Priest are the same because they both use Holy Magic.
o/ hello, a necromancer here!
Yes I agree a ranged capable of summoning corpses sounds good the only problem is my main, It will mess up my conviction.

I picture a New Yearâs eve between the âTinker must be the next classâ guy and the OP.
Tinkers are the only class not represented in the game. Engineers as a profession is not the same as the class. It is like saying Rocket Racoon isnât a tinker but a heavy explosive and gun man while ignoring all the weapons he used, and the bots, were created by him.
But yeah, necromancy has been shown in the game with DKâs and Warlocks.
Tinkers might only have hunters, MM hunters as well. That is it, that is all you get.
Iâm still waiting on the tech class that is missing in wow. Goblin shamans are the closest because their totems are literal magitech.

Just find a 1 year plus post and answer its original question, then a Necromancer you will be!
Honestly, if there is going to be a new Class, Iâd say Bard (because of the Radiant Song) will likely be it.
Tinkers most likely if anything. That is the one class people been asking for since gnomes were in vanilla. Bards? Not so much. Radiant song isnât even a song, it is a frequency.
Iâm still super surprised that there has only been one class in the whole game that uses guns as their official weapon. LikeâŚthat is crazy. I played this game since I was 13. I am 33 now. How is there still only hunters using guns.
You could also ask, why are DH the only Class able to use Glaives.
I would, there is zero reasons why a rogue or warrior couldnât use them.
Especially since the illdian warglaives was used by both in TBC.

Too much conceptual overlap with DKs and Warlocks. Oh youâre a caster that summons a bunch of undead minions? Well the caster half of that is Demo warlock and the undead half of that is UH DK.
You want to use a bunch of disease spells to fight? Again, UH DK and Affliction warlock. Yeah technically Warlock spells are âcursesâ and not diseases, but the naming convention of many Affliction spells and talents really get into disease theming despite not technically being diseases like UH DK uses.

You donât even get that thanks to that stupid bird theyâre adding to MM in 11.1. Now youâre a standard medieval archer with a bird pet.

I honestly forgot about that, now you canât even use mechanical pets. Yeah, that is gone now.
How much you want to bet that they wonât even let you use a bird pet you tamed to change the model on âsighting eagleâ
Idk what theyâre smoking with those MM changes but damn. Talk about screwing over people who care about RP for the sake of âbuffing a classâ for sweats.

unstable affliction is diseases, curse of agony is a curse. Both very much overlap with necromancy as well.
Technically, UA is a âmagicâ debuff. So I just count that as a curse lorewise cuz thatâs what Warlocks are supposed to be using. The DK disease spells fall under Disease category debuffs.
