Can always go find zin’anthid on the AH!
Except you cannot go anywhere else for the herb and ore that spawns in Nazjatar. It is the only zone where they appear.
Which makes botting/over farming a real problem. It may not happen to you but it does happen, I’ve experienced it. It’s a design issue entirely because of this very reason - we cannot go elsewhere to get them. Putting high end materials in one small spot only is ridiculous design and typical of how Blizzard thinks (or doesn’t) these days.
I always say that people with flawed beliefs about reality will never admit that they are wrong, they will always find excuses to justify their very flawed belief.
Are are no different.
Don’t you love the ‘‘Doesn’t happen to me, so it must not with others’’ arguments that some make
You know maybe Blizzard should look at the underlying problem which is Druids themselves. They should not be able to loot herbs and mine while mounted / shapeshifted, no class should.
Additionally they need to do something in PVP about Druids spamming shapeshift to break out of CC. Shapeshifted Druids ‘should’ be able to be polymorphed since your turning them from their normal form into a Sheep.
The worst however is their escape capabilities. I was doing open world PVP, and 4 separate times a Druid got away by jumping off the edge, falling a distance, using flap, and then flight forming away. Not even rogues have that sort of escape feature.
-waits for the inevitable Druid to pop in and defend all this as ‘balanced’-
This is in no way an underlying problem. The druid escape ability is pretty core to druids, youre just complaining that another class has a feature that you dont have or like.
Skygolems can loot herbs without dismounting, so your whole point in terms of farming is pretty false.
24.9 seconds. A new record!
I get that Sky Golems can do that. They shouldn’t be able to also. No class or mount should.
Why should no class or mount be able to?
Care to provide any reasoning or logic aside from “its just not fair”?
Reread the first two OP’s statement. All of the bots are Druids. There’s a reason for that.
Please don’t be intellectually dishonest mate.
The underlying problem is making the herb spawn in only one zone and sparingly at that. Being a druid or having a mount that you can harvest with just makes it more efficient. The bots out there just make it worse.
Woah woah woah, that in no way answers the questions. The issue isnt about druids.
You claim that skygolems are also a problem, that no one has brought up in this thread.
and I’m the one being intellectually dishonest? PLEASE.
care to provide any reasoning or logic that skygolems should not be in game?
Oh I agree with you 100% there too, but there is a worthwhile argument to be made that maybe Druids and Loot oriented mounts are ‘too’ convenient. It is contributing to the issue for certain. I would have a problem if Priests were capable of it too, so don’t feel like I’m singling out druids. I’m not. Their just the most notable cases of it.
Exactly what problem gets fixed by not having golems or flight herbing?
is too convenient actually your argument?
If you see a multiboxer gathering herbs, start moving in the opposite direction as him. Resources respawn rates are related to how fast their being gathered. If they are going clock wise and you go counter clockwise, you’ll start seeing the herbs you want.
In Nazjatar the respawn rates seem to have been set incredibly slow.
Again, probably deliberate because Blizzard fully expected multiboxers to run the herb economy.
How I miss the days of the launch of MoP when they just said “we want you all to have access to the resources you need, node respawns are increased” (which for a while was OVER generous, but the point was, everyone should be able to engage with professions, make stuff and participate in the market to sell it. Nazjatar restricts it to multiboxers and bots, and even major profession fans like me just gave up early on because THERE ARE NO HERBS.
Low respawn rates for resources ment to be rare isn’t new. Mist had it’s share of rare herbs as well. I remember when herbs like purple lotus, sungrass, and dreamfoil were hard to find. Even Mist had herbs that were rare/hard to find.
So remove skygolem mount? I bet there’s a lot of players will disagree with that, do you remember when blizz remove the water strider? Yeah.
I’m guessing you must be playing a DH too since you don’t feel the need to attack that class for their “jumping off the edge” ability. An outlaw can easily use grappling hook to avoid falling damage so I think you meant “not even half of the rogues have that sort of escape feature” (I heard that nobody plays sub these days).
Maybe it’s just that you’re bad at your PVP?
Simple solution - create a rule that [x] number of players traveling in that close of proximity get transitioned automatically to war mode. Nothing is more fun than picking off groups of bots/multiboxers - guarantee the disruption will be immediately impactful to the farmers.
Eating 10x moonfire and sunfire kinda hurts as a mage tho, experienced that the hard way. they just put DoT on you and go bear form.
