Nazjatar is being stripped of resources by bots

Kind of need them dealt with. Not 2 months from now in a banwave. There are almost no resources there cause of all the bots.

You mean multi boxing flying druids?

They pay multiple subs so blizzard like the average hyper greedy company would never ban them because $$$

They’re all flying on 2 man mounts now

Okay, this confirms my suspicion. I thought I was tripping because I kept seeing the tail-end of a group of flying robot mounts while out questing in Nazj. Like I said, it was the tail-end, every time, and as goes the landscape of the area, there were rocks and other things obscuring my view, so I wasn’t ever entirely sure. This also explains the decrease in nodes recently. There has always been a scant number of nodes in that area, overall, but lately there has been close to zero. I already have multiple subs… I guess I need to up my game and start multi-boxing.

Well they aren’t doing anything to get banned either lol

my miners have a huge stash of osmenite ore, but my alchemists keep squandering zin’anthid on their way to learning rank 3 recipes

Keep telling yourself that, I’m sure blizzard is happy for your defense

I encountered those myself on Oceanic. I’m fairly sure they aren’t just a multiboxer but are using bot software, as they follow a precise repeated route, and stop at odd intervals. I spent half an hour trying to find some herbs there for my alchemist and in the end the only way to get some was to follow them around and grab the nodes they did before they vanished.

Other times I’ve got there and there was hardly an active herb node to be found.

Putting 2 materials needed for high level crafting only available in one small zone is, frankly utter dunderhead planning.

Blizzard already has addressed this:

They ban bots in waves; They don’t ban them ahead of time, since that would be “tipping their hand.” They fix the hole seed they use/ban them in waves, then the cycle starts again. The bot makers take advantage of the fact that there HAS to be some kind of encrypted “hole”, in order for your client to work with the server.

Multiboxing is OK, if that is all you are seeing.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with multiboxing, but the way they can farm resources is a prob. It makes the node disappear so even if you’re right there you won’t get anything if they hit it first.

Simple fix - All characters under control of a multi-boxer count as one player for node gathering. Only one tap like everyone else. The rest of the characters in their daisy chain don’t get to tap the node.

It was street brawl earlier. Node spawns and three people jump on the thing.

Don’t think multi boxing matters. If someone is going to farm for the AH, a tap is a tap. Multi boxing might actually help. Instead of one tap they get multiple, so more herbs on the market, more herbs lowers prices, so more people may chose to buy instead of farm, less people farming.

And it’s probably not bots. Bot’s would be a constant problem and this seem more tied to peak play times so probably people just like you wanting to farm herbs.

I mean how are they affecting you? Resources as in mining nodes / herbs? They’re all split among the player base. Your nodes are your own. They don’t disappear after someone else gets them.

Well that would explain why zin athid is so rare. Need so much of it yet its hard to find despite being the only herb in Naz’tajar.

I still don’t get what is the point for paying so much to work even more :joy:

After a decade of seeing the back and forth between bliz and bots, I can’t help but feel like their “method” for dealing with them is simply a compromise that is at least a nod towards keeping law & order in the game, but also gives the botters enough time to make a profit (and therefore keep coming back and giving bliz their monies).

So you have a problem with someone spend 15$ per month on different computers and different accounts playing the game they pay to play?
why are you overly concerned with how they spend their money and how they play their game? The items respawn. Please play your own game and mind your own business.

I’m working under the assumption that it’s just a guy multiboxxing since that was the situation presented to me. I didn’t read about any kind of hackery going on so I am not assuming that it is. That being the case they aren’t doing anything to get banned as multiboxxing is allowed.

What SHOULD happen is very different than what is happening rn. The reason it isnt a bannable offense even though it should and most of us agree, is because they just want the multi sub money

Multiboxing would have been banned since early on if blizzard wasnt obsessed over money
