Naxx requirements

Healers are the obvious ones that have no change. Our disc priest is actually stubborn to replace any of their SWP gear since they were almost BiS.

DPS would be rough for sure. The tanks would be the big hurdle.

But never underestimate how sweaty wow players can get. I wouldn’t put it past a team of lvl 77s or 78s (whatever is Naxx min) clearing the place.

They need a title for it like Herald of the Titans.

That’s very true, and I was actually quite upset that the chose to push nax out a week simply because I wanted to see what guilds like APES, and Restless could do to clear it quickly.

Sucks to suck. Join a guild.

It would be a fun experiment to see how fast it would take a team to clear end raid content on fresh release.

I.E. Releasing Naxx 40 w/ MC, SWP with Kara, and ICC with Naxx.

That would 100% push min/maxers to limits.

yeah just a mad rush to the very end and see what guild can get there first. lol I would be all for that.

I just know there would be teams that make my jaw drop.

I think the fact that APES cleared MC so fast with so many non 60s really threw a bunch of people off in terms of what would be accomplished. It just snowballed from there with the normal player base overly exceeding most dps checkpoints.

Like could a full Kara gearish team clear SWP?

oof I dunno about that. I doubt it, there were some pretty heavy gear checks in SWP. But like you said… who knows what guilds like APES can do when they go full tryhard.

I without a shadow of doubt know my guild coudnt do it lol. Hell we didnt get a full clear until the 4th week and we were in really good gear lol.

Don’t worry my guild would progress as normal haha

Which is fine, don’t get me wrong. I play this game for fun.

Same, our guild likes to just stay in current content and ready to roll into the next phase as it hits. As long as we are doing that, we are pretty happy. It also helps that our core raiders are all friends IRL. We have 9 players who are all from the same area and hang out on a regular basis.

Complete current content is typically our only objective.

Now it’s that + getting Glory of the Raider achievements. Immortal is gonna be a test for a lot groups like us.

I will have to go back on my original account and see if we ever got Immortal or not. I want to say that we did.

Hmm I don’t even see the achievement in the game at all on my old account. Was it not in back then?

It’s probably a Feat of Strength since you can’t attain it in Retail.

Maybe, and if so I don’t have it. I checked there.

Good luck getting 30% crit and 600+ haste in p1 gear idk if this is troll or what. I’m in almost full pre bis and currently only have 13% crit and roughly 400ish haste with spellstone too. Unless I didn’t understand you correctly, this is just plain wrong. Maybe wearing no hit gear this can be closely achieved, but that is not the case. As far as spellpower you actually got that close. Unbuffed (no fel armor) I am close to 1500. With Fel Armor and Spirit Tap glyph I sit at almost 2k spellpower right now.

I dinged 80 2 days ago and have done every heroic both days since then and have gotten 2/3 of my badge bis, wyrmrest gear from revered and several lucky drops (gossamer, red sword, crest of lordaeron, bracers of dark will, a few others) and am already at 22k hp and def cap with only a few enchants and literally no socket gear. People are really overestimating how hard it is to gear in Wrath lol

Some of us havent even been able to login for the past week, lol.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that they aren’t special?

Until you join my group you are literally nothing to me except an aggregate of certain numbers. There are more than likely another 5+ people who are exactly the same as you with the only difference being that their numbers are different. I will take the person with the highest numbers almost every time because every other factor is a complete mystery up until the point where we actually start raiding.

I do not know you. I do not care about how excellent your personality may be. I do not have time to find out how funny and social you are. I have 5 people of the same class as you messaging me and I’m going to take the one who puts my group in the best position to succeed as possible.

Just because you meet the bare minimum requirement for clearing the content doesn’t mean you possess the same value as a player as someone who has clearly put in more effort and will more than likely create significantly more value through damage/healing etc.

Its not gatekeeping and its no more elitist than almost every other part of society. Do you people apply to jobs while barely meeting the minimum listed requirements and expect that you have just as good a chance as people with clearly better credentials? Are you so arrogant as to believe that your personality or some other non-quantifiable quality is so much better than everyone else that your clearly inferior qualities should be ignored?

The problem is people treating organizing a raid with the same diligence and gravity of a job application. “Problem” may not be the right word…I like giggling about Classic sweatlords and meta-roaches.

Given that Naxx can be conquered even if half the raid is in questing greens and didn’t bother to keybind, I don’t see this being a problem outside of pugs dealing with the super-sweat crowd playing Spreadsheets: The Game.

The super vast majority of us are gonna go in there with a guild, have a good time, down the original target dummy, get some loot, and hearth out with a smile.

That said, I enjoy assembling pre-BiS. I like a list and I like the satisfaction of checking off that list. I like competing on the meter. I like showing up and doing my bit.

I leveled cooking. I fished the fish. I’ll make the feasts and get all the rep for the enchants and run the dungeons for the badges to buy my gear. I leveled the professions to make the offhand and get the embroidery.

Am I going to tell people who didn’t do those things they can’t play with me in Naxx? No. But should they be whining about how horrible I am for doing what I was supposed to do? No.

Everybody needs to calm down. It’s a vidjya game. Pew pew.

Also, you should level fishing.
