I agree except the healer part. The more geared the group the less geared the healer needs to be. Especially in wrath. There are so many mana cooldowns that you can get topped up mid fight.
Hymn of hope increases mana and shadowfiend gives mana back based on max mana. Just use both at the same time and you are almost 100% again.
The group wont be geared though, they will be pretty poorly geared actually if they are in all sunwell gear.
It’s not like they will still be hit capped, and crit/haste/AP soft capped anymore due to level 80 stat slide. But top players I’m sure would find a way.
Sunwell DPS is yes… But you’re not going to do sunwell DPS in sunwell gear as level 80.
The stats are way lower because the players are 80. 20 armor pen at 70 on an item, is not the same as 20 armor pen at 80. The value is less.
Level 70 to 74 I solo farmed Bot - I was averaging north of 1.5 million xp an hour. At level 74 to 77 I went to Nexus and solo farmed that. In there I was getting 1 to 1.3 million xp an hour.
77 to 80 was by far the slowest part of the grind. I quested and was getting around 750k to 900k an hour. "Usually closer to the 750k mark.
Edit: I also did the pre-prep farm of 25 heroic/group quests as well as a bunch of collection/rep quests for instant turn ins right when xp was turned on. So that cut down on a ton of time too.
Solution: make your own raid then
When you go to work, do you think your co-worker’s that have higher responsibility, a harder task/more task and work more hours than you should be paid the same as you or…?
I never said all classes could do it. He asked how i leveled so fast and I told him. That being said, a huge chunk of classes can, and did do that farm. And it was not uncommon to see people getting 1 mill+ xp an hour by just questing with a good quest addon.
One of the players on my server got to 80 “a warrior” slightly before I did and he didn’t dungeon grind at all.
While this isn’t false I wouldn’t imagine the difference between SWP at 70 on 73 mobs is that far off from SWP at 80 on 83 mobs. The natural 10 levels will boost the raw DPS that was well over the Patchwerk checkpoint.
Some classes and stuff will really suffer from missing caps, others not as much. But new ability, more talents and just 10 levels worth of base scaling should make up for the difference.
Could be true. Could also be fun to test how far you can push sunwell gear. Pretty sure most my guild probably kept theirs. Maybe its something we will try after we get all of our naxx gear collected.
