It’s more than just a flex, it will help a ton with time and ease of clearing, but you’re 100% right it’s not needed.
Right it will make a easy raid easier. Again, it’s more of a flex than a requirement. I wasn’t questioning if it will make things faster or not.

Im not in BiS. Im not even 80, my server doesnt have any queues, I do have real life stuff to do. Ive sat there afk doing other stuff so time played isnt accurate.
But again this is just some weird ego thing. Why else would you try to tell me what you do all week?

Yes, you did leave out the part where I said that him enjoying the game is all that matters, and if he wants to go slow then he should play the game how he wants.
He is the one who stated that he has “Well over 4 hours in the game”, and if he has as he said "well over 4 hours in the game after wrath launch, and he’s still only 73… that’s not “adulting” that’s slowing him down… it’s just him going slow. And again, and I’m sure you will leave this part out. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. He’s going at his pace and having fun doing it.

The OP was talking about people who will gatekeep players from pugs because they are udnergeared. To that I said if you’re not pre raid BiS or close to it by now you’re doing it wrong. Within the context of wanting to raid naxx in the same week naxx comes out.
And that statement again… is correct. It took 7’ish" hours of gameplay to go from level 80 in quest gear to full pre raid bis minus the 25 badge neck and 1h heroic up sword.
Most classes have the vast majority of the gear locked behind easy to get rep and badges. Just farming the rep and badges needed will net you almost full pre raid BiS. It could not be an easier to do.
Because you’re oddly infatuated with my 50 hour work week, my daughters football games on Friday and the time I hang out with the family. Thus posting that shows how easy it is to balance work/life/play. Especially since the time required to do what I said is possible is very low…

As far as the full second part of your statment. He said he has PLAYED for much more than 4 hours. To that, using reading comprehension and the context of our conversation, I think it’s safe to assume he means he was actually PLAYING for more than 4 hours. Not just sitting AFK the whole time.

I’m full bis. I had launch week off, but have been working all this week.
The method to not get caught in queue is to log in before 2PM server time, or to not be on benediction.
I wouldn’t demand full bis, but I definitely don’t wanna carry any half green pug. I think it’s a disservice to players to boost them past heroic progression. Heroics are fun!
Sound advice. Players who haven’t put time into progressing can try it together, players who have can clear it with good gear.
