Naxx requirements

If you want to no life the game, fine. That’s your business. Just don’t pretend it’s normal and something everyone can do. That’s what we’re taking issue with.

My post history isn’t hidden, so feel free to look at it. You’ll see it goes all the way back to Classic launch.

You have 6600 posts on the forums and you want to talk to me about no lifeing the game because I played 1 day hard and less than 10 hours total in the next 9 days? lol Aight. Makse perfect sense.

It makes more sense than the BS story you’ve been trying to pass off on us.

So what part of what I’m telling you do you think is BS exactly?

If you have an 80, I’m sure you and I can both agree that it takes about 3.5 hours to do a full world tour. And in 2 world tours + the emblems you get from Icecrown and Storm Peaks quests, you have enough for your 2 tier 7 set items, your belt. relic "or in a rogues case thrown weapon, and offhand. You then need a total of 15 more emblems for your neck. So no more need to do the world tour. So now you just log on and run whatever 1 or 2 heroics you need for gear drops. Taking a total of 30 minutes if you need 2, 15 minutes if you just need 1 heroic.

Tell me exactly what you think I’m fabricating and why.

There’s no way you’re doing all that and working 50+ hours and doing various family activities all in the first week.

lol okay, ty for confirming you have poor time management skills.

Getting to 80 on Monday and then 2 heroic lockouts is not that time intensive but if you think it’s impossible then cool cool

But it is, everyone can take a week off work for a video game relaunch. If they can’t they must just be bad people. Letting their teams down.

Just manage your time better. Like this: “Sorry mate, can’t do your heart surgery this week, wow launch. You know how it is, don’t want to sponge off the team. Hang in there champ”.

Simples. I mean, I manage it with my 15 kids, basket ball, 3 wives, 2 jobs, study, a couple of hobbies, and get to finish off a Stranger Things marathon 2 nights a week… All about time management and priorities.

Sarcasm aside, the thing annoying me here is the presumption that just because ‘I’ saw value in taking a week off work and getting preraid bis ‘you’ should too. There are plenty of legitimate reasons why someone isn’t level 80 and in pre raid bis yet. Such as:

  1. Works long hours and couldn’t get time off
  2. Had a death in the family
  3. Had a string of hot dates
  4. Prefers fishing
  5. Simply CBF

All legit reasons. And you know what? Pretty much as soon as they hit 80 they will be able to hit their 1800+ DPS threshold required to clear the raid in whatever gear they have so long as they spec right, don’t play a meme class/spec, and do the obvious gems, and enchants.

This is clearly a case of preraid bis not being a requirement (read thread title) and so you do you and I’ll do me. Nothing wrong with being a sweat lord, just don’t expect everyone else to be.

aw the family that games together
ample time with them
while waiting for guild to catch up to 80/gear they farm dps for golds
heartwarming

Few things to unpack here. Just like in the rest of your baseless attacks, you’re putting words in my mouth, or taking things out of context. I guess I should not be shocked by this at this point.

I never once said people should take a week off. As a matter of fact I myself didn’t take a week, or even a day off. I moved my work day from Monday to Saturday, and I leveled from 70 to 80 on Monday.

I also never once even hinted that others should power level to 80 and they SHOULD farm their BiS gear. Not once… not a single time… did I type those words in these forums. I actually said that BiS is not needed for raiding. I just disagreed that it’s okay to assume that somebody sould take you if you show up to an opening week raid in quest blues and greens… I also said, it’s not hard to already be MOSTLY pre BiS 10 days into the expansion. Because it’s not. My wife and the rest of my cour raid group didn’t power level to 80, and they are all mostly pre raid BiS.

So I will ask you to please, without inentionally snipping things I say out of context, please show me where I said other people SHOULD do what I did. Or that if they didn’t then they are bad people/players.

And before you even get into the first thing I posted. Again, that was a direct reponse to somebody who was QQing that people will “Gearkeep” people out of Nax on week 1. If people are trying to push content in week 1, and they are not mostly pre raid BiS. Then yes… I feel like they didn’t manage their time very well in game and shouldnt assume that they should be given a spot in a pug raid. Again… this only applies to the people trying to raid Nax tomorrow in a pug. Context matters. Something you woefully seem to neglect.

Can’t wait for the flood of tears from people getting declined from groups when they can’t even be bothered doing a handful of heroics

You aren’t entitled to invites to anyone elses group. Feel free to make a group filled with people in questing gear.

I’m expertise capped with my glyph, but no I’m not hit capped I’m 2% shy. But hit cap is below expertise, block, Stam and Def to 540. And yes, I’m BiS geared and gloves are enchanted for hit. Not sure its possible in pre raid gear to be Def/expertise/and hit capped. Def and Expertise are the most important, followed by block, then hit as a pally tank.

Looking at 80 upgrades and messing around in there quite a bit, I couldnt find a way to cap all 3 and still have decent block in pre raid gear.

The suggested pre raid BiS list that’s on Icy-veins is hit and expertise capped but only 531 def rating. I don’t think that’s smart to drop under crit cap for a small boost to threat. Threat is not much of an issue in Wrath.

It’s pretty easy to get some preraid bis if you just do your heroics every day.

Not even every day really. I was completely done minus the tank sword after 2 world tours.

I don’t get what some of these people arguing that it’s so “time consuming” don’t understand. 90% of the gear is handed to you via badges or rep rewards.

yep, like u get to exalted w/ a rep in 2 days if u just wear the tabard, even if it isn’t “perfect preraid bis” you can still get geared just playing the game

Why aren’t you full bis?

I never said you need close to pre bis, not a single time. And I’ve said MULTIPLE times that you DON’T need pre BiS to raid.

What I said mulitple times is that Pre raid BiS or close to it is EASY TO GET. Not that it’s needed that it’s EASY TO GET.

EASY TO GET - IS NOT THE SAME AS “NEEDED”.

some exaggerations here

How is full brutal for nax except maybe bis weapon

meanwhile, at level 72

Given that I remember a lot of people in my guild clearing it just fine in Sunwell and Brutal gear, that is true.
