Nathanos pre patch cinematic (spoilers)

See, I’d actually prefer that. Using Elune to pull his soul away somewhere. That or keep him alive, but in a way that isn’t pleasant.

Maybe not that brutal, but a fate worse than death type of ending.

We’re assuming it’s a win, but quite likely he will be tortured by the Jailer and need to be “released” by Horde players

Honestly? I would have taken a cinematic where it didn’t feel like Sylvannas/Nathanos were running 4D Chess on us again. It is getting tiresome. Just once, I want to see a look of dawning horror on either or both of their faces as they realize that they have been outplayed for once.

We all knew, and that’s the problem. Every loss feels like a win.

They have to save something for the expansion itself.

I’m sure blizzard intended there to be some sort of catharsis in Nathanos dying, but I didn’t really feel anything. He was nothing more than a flunkie to Sylvanas. More than that, his death here doesn’t mean anything because as he says himself he will just go to the Maw. And, it continues to show that any attempt they make to show Tyrande ‘Make the occupation of my people as bearable as possible’ Whisperwind as “badass” just makes me cringe.

Been waiting for Cata for it. I can’t say that I have grand hope for it now.

It’s pretty clear that there’s trouble in paradise. Nathanos sees The Jailer as a rival for Sylvanas’s attention. The fact that we was left behind shows that either Sylvanas or The Jailer (or both) see him as irreverent to their further plans.

Being sent to The Maw isn’t going to work out for Nate the way some people seem to expect. I see torture in his future. A mindless mawsworn husk.

It is my understanding that Tyrande kills him now, has her badass moment and then in Shadowlands WE kill him for good, this way the playerbase can have the cake and eat it too, with no complaints of a lore character kill stealing us again but at the same time achieving something for them. I liked it, but I wish she smacked him around like a ragdoll for longer

This was the absolute best way he could have gone out. Even with all Blizz’s faults, the smugness of Jim Pirri’s voice acting cannot be contained.

Thanks for posting this. Just killed him and the cutscene didn’t play.

And the writers continue their lovefest for the Forsaken and its characters. Nothing bad can ever happen to them it seems.

And we see the same apologists coming from out of the woodwork to make excuses.

And we see once again, the night elf playerbase is shat upon.

Ight hol up, imma need you to run that back right now, “lovefest?”

Bro I’m not trying to get deep in the trenches with this right now but the Forsaken have been shown anything but love with BFA.

Culture? Dead and possibly being replaced with the exact opposite. (The light…ugh…)

Leaders? Gone and called us nothing, more or less and are going to be or help the big bad of SL xpac, while we get a “replacement” that just joined the Forsaken in the same xpac our leaders were jumping ship (no real build up)

Capital? Gone, the only home the Forsaken ever knew is blighted to hell and back and won’t be seeing the light of day for a long time.

Again not trying to get into this buuut, watch ya self before ya run your mouth.

As long as he goes out as epic as he did here. Fighting the biggest Mary Sues on Azeroth and being completely unhinged and unbothered while giving us some of the best taunt in WoW. I think Christie said she has a lot to do with the dialogue for cinematics; all I can say is cudos to her and the magnificent VA.

Another cinematic for Tyrande and yet we see Night Elves players complaining as usual.

Man Blizzard is really pandering to the worst part of their player-base instead to make their lore actually enjoyable for everyone.

I liked it.

Nathanos quite enjoying the fight with the raid until the sky turns black. Then One arrow throws him straight into his home.

Tyrande nuking his dogs was funny. Also, if I’m not mistaken, her glaives function as bows?

I’m glad he remained as smarmy as humanly possible to his final death. While he is right, he’s going right back to her her in the Maw, he died the way he lived. Being a snarky jerk.

I also feel they made Tyrande’s Night Warrior model look significantly better in cinematics than it does in game. I don’t know why but she does…NOT look threatening in game (almost no one does with this games sad character models), yet in a cinematic, the way she moves is just…muwah.

Her model in game has a smiley face. That’s why.

If he really does show up to be a player in Shadowlands, I’ll be surprised. I’ll admit that I thought he was just going to bite it and be done and over with in the prepatch. But the way he goes out is probably the best that could have been done with the character. Dude basically unlived for exactly one person and otherwise wanted to die. His character arc seems spent and has no purpose now.
