He died like he lived. Running his big stupid mouth.
Welcome to Undeath, where pain is something only other people feel.
We literally helped a fully coherent undead guy pull his torn in half body back together this expansion.
I mean, he was gutted and beheaded, which is pretty brutal as far as T-rated deaths go.
This is 100% more stringing the Alliance on for a payoff that will NEVER come. They did it in Cata, told us to wait and see. It never came, so they strung us along further to MoP, said itâs def coming guys, fist pump moment. It never came.
Then they did it again in BFA, told us it was coming, just wait and see, and oh look it never came again. So now they are repeating history again to string us into the follow up expansion promising us, wait and see itâll come in this one for sure guys.
Yea; somehow I am not convinced. Blizzard has a perfect track record of stringing Alliance players on and not delivering, and they ainât about to break that track record with this expansion. Quote me at the end of Shadowlands, I have 0% fear I will be wrong.
Humiliated yes, but Iâd rather he be forced to shut up after being tortured.
Blizzard wants us to think Tyrande is going off the deep end.
Hopefully this will put an end to the âzombie with a bowâ discourse, if nothing else.
Without Valâkyr pumping mojo into him, Tyrande demolishes Nathanos in combat. There was never any doubt of this, of course, but at least now people canât pretend otherwise to reinforce their narrative.
Blightcaller is an OG; Iâm happy that none of the fan fictiony stuff happened.
I guess, but canât help but think a death by Horde characters would have been more brutal.
Blightcaller was never going to beg, he died decades ago. Pain means very little to the undead. If Tyrande was better at trash talking, she would have picked up from Nathanosâs tone that heâs feeling abandoned. Being mocked for being cast aside might have wiped the smirk off his face as his head rolled.
Tyrandeâs much stronger but none smarter, I guess.
Yaâll are gonna have to jog my memory here but, when have we ever gone out of our way to screw a villain over? That isnât just ruining their plans and killing them?
The only time I can think of is against like âHonorable enemiesâ and we did the only thing that would actually get them to come out and fight us. (I.E steal their allies from them, dishonor their name etc.)
Brutal, maybe, but the ones left donât seem like the type to draw anything out if they were ever portrayed that way.
Itâd be funny to see a tauren kick a guyâs head off like sending a football across a field, though.
The term âgodâ means absolutely nothing in Warcraft, given how many weâve slain.
Or maybe banter isnât productive anyway. She got the answers she wanted.
Not every character has to be a big mouth.
You know heâd probably be fearful if the one killing him was an enemy known for stealing your soul after they kill you or using it for fuel (Arthas, Guldan)
When have we ever had an on screen genocide? First time for everything.
He also never even touched her. Like, it wasnât even a fight she just calmly walked up to him, put him on his knees, and took his head off while all he could do was mock her. She hit him with an arrow and sent him flying to be pinned to a wall.
Nathanos went out with his gums flapping and Tyrande just looked bored the entire time. It was a damn good showing for Tyrande and a quick death for Nathanos because he was useless for anything else.
Peter Parker, sheâs not.
When have we ever had an on screen genocide? First time for everything.
Everytime the player character is told to quell the population of something?
The amount of times weâve gone around killing murlocs, quillboar, Harpies, etc. Weâve probably killed off clans of said races with no care in the world, all because theyâre âannoyingâ or âa few did something to us so lets kill most of themâ
Wouldnât it be ironic for Nathanos if the Jailer tortures him instead?
And Sylvanas doesnât care?
Aww nathanos⌠I expect this to be what happens tbh
This was a decent cutscene, I feel. I knew Nathanos was going to âwinâ even if he lost because killing him just sends him right to Sylvanas, he was never dying for good in this patch, and quite frankly Iâd be surprised if he died before even 9.2, but this was a good scene.
I did like how she seemed to be toying with him, because she wanted answers before killing the guy. She could have, after all, ended the fight for real with her initial bowshot, and her movements seemed way more relaxed that his were, for the five seconds they fought.
Iâm alright with it, given the corner theyâve painted themselves into this was the best outcome I feel. Iâm okay with the snark, Iâve said before that if the snark was directed towards an NPC threat Nathanos would be one of the most beloved characters. I think itâs a shame his greater spotlight was wasted in BfA, where his snark becomes more grating than anything else.
