Just killed Nathanos but I was corpse running back when he was killed and still got credit but I didn’t receive any loot.
Killed him again and also re-logged to see if it would get sent to my mail but no luck so far.
My world quest has reset in EPL and I was able to kill Nathanos and receive loot.
Same, no loot to speak of.
Same here. Exact same situation, died, thought I had time to run back, but apparently not. I have found out that last bit of his life meter, which should have given me the time to return, are taken up by Tyrande killing him. Since that means its so misleading as to run-back time, I feel I was robbed. One bow, and whatever gold, to be precise.
Edit: Just put in a ticket. We’ll see how that goes.

I know this doesn’t help, but just wanted to chime in and say that the same thing happened to me. 
Same, no cutscene and no item.
The exact same thing happened to me. The world quest is gone, and now I can’t get anything…

Same thing happened to me. Died and was running back. Got credit for the kill but received no loot for the kill or the world quest.
Adding in for the same issue. I died on my hunter and got nothing when he died as I was running back.
Same… and even the WQ marker originally was going to give me a 1h for some reason.
Come on Blizz… between this and the weirdness in Icecrown, this is a shaky start fam.

Same thing happened to me and now the WQ is gone despite abandoning quest and re-taking it.
Was going to open a ticket but in-game it says GM cannot restore loot etc…Really hope they reset the WQ or something or can mail the item.
Same and my buddy, we killed him 3 times just to be sure lol… pls mail me my dagger blizz :’(
Technically, this isnt loot, this is a quest reward. A world quest reward. We don’t click on the boss to loot him after all.
Ya which is why I honestly thought it’d go in my bags once Nathanos died, despite me being a ghost walking back. There is a small patch now and gonna grab a coffee before logging back in but I doubt the WQ will be back.
It would absolutely be ridiculous if they do not restore the reward to us. This would be putting us at an unfair disadvantage compared to those who did not experience any issues.
