Dude… are you serious? THAT is the reason I LOVE CLassic and early WoW. I can stop doing content I no longer need… that’s called progression. once you farm what you need out of a dungeon… the only reason to do it again is to help a guildie… you do it because you WANT to do it.
There is a game outside of dungeons and raid… and it’s meaningful and relevant to your character. Not to mention leveling and gearing alts where the content is once again all relevant.
Professions and the economy also provide ways to progress you characters…
In live, even leveling your character for 10 hours to max level seems like a waste of time. Professions? lol Economy and gold? tee hee.
There is nothing outside of raiding worth doing except M+… and so you feel forced to do it.
No thank you. Classic has lots of things for me to engage in without running the same dungeon over and over again.
Could run it to help alts or under sized group for fun. Epic chances, tanks heal for money. Just because, on an alt, or because you have the key.
Based on the design flaw of the gear inflation from later patches making 5 man content nearly worthless in that time as badge and raid gear QUCIKLY outpaced static content. Thus the need for dynamic hands off content was more needed to keep smaller content alive.
Lets not act like M+ is some great addition to the game as much as it was a tool have more scaled content for people gear or some equally number based idea. Where in people used to run instances for the materials or chance drops in them. Or just for that thing fun . Though i am sure M+ is fun for some as well when they push keys.
Oh I’m so sorry I didn’t reply right away, I actually have a life and had to leave to go out with friends.
Now, you are listing a bug with Warlock summoning of pets, hardly the same thing as numbers tuning. Talking about the vanilla client, well which one are you using for your comparisons, the one from vanilla which you don’t have access to or the ones created like Frankenstein’s monster by the private servers?
I do believe that blizz knows more about the correct numbers tuning than some armchair quarterback.
YOU haven’t proved anything either. All yall have done is give your OPINION, based on, based on… ummmmmmmm nothing.
Oh and I’m a VERY harsh critic of blizz, search my other posts. Not even subbed right now, even if someone gifted me game time I can’t see logging into the dumpster fire that is BfA.
and after few week at max level you’ll only be logging on reset day, clear the raid, and log off till next week. Oh, perhaps spend time farming gold / mats for the next raid… let’s not forget how enjoyable gold farming is.
we’ve been there, we have several expansions depicting this exact situation. this is one of the reason M+ was introduced.
you think your dungeon set will be relevant after MC?
It’s like the classic zealot don’t even recognize the trend ( that started in vanilla) of logging in on reset day, clearing your raid, logging off until next week.
For your average player mythic+ hasn’t changed a whole lot. They do their weekly +10 and then they are done. Its just another check mark on the list of weekly/daily chores that takes them an hour or two and they are done with it.
The number of people pushing keys and really making use of the system are probably about the same as those mythic raiding, which we know is a pretty niche audience.
But you speed read, bro! You’re quick to not read and knee-jerk reply.
You’re still not reading and knee-jerk replying in typical troll fashion!
So I’ll say it again to see if you read it this time-
If the path a variable takes through code before it is spat out is changed, the outcome can be either different or undesired. I used the Warlock pet bug as an example.
Knowing this and seeing vanilla videos for things we don’t need direct numbers passes for (like damage) and how some issues persist between Vanilla and Classic - we can extrapolate that Blizz either doesn’t have ALL the data they need for a direct 1:1 or the variables and data being passed through the 8.x client are taking a different path or affected by 8.x math that should have been cleaned up.
I don’t know where pservers come into all of this as they are coded about as well as a couple of tortilla chips glued together acting as a bridge can support the weight of an 18 wheeler - so I’m not sure why that would even be uttered by that flap you call a mouth.
This “armchair quarterback”, btw, is a dev and I’ve done this more than a few times - and in my experience - we miss lots of stuff like this in translation and internal teams, even at places as big as Actiblizz are far too small to spot inconsistencies when things “work” without errors or warnings in a log or hard crashes.
I’ve helped port a few games to PS4 and Xbox from PC and even I have made mistakes (even though my code is near PERFECTION) by way of missing a simple pass or change in arithmetic across versions.
Did you read all of that? Please confirm you know how to read. I worry about you <3
and M+10 is harder than anything classic has to offer. on top of changing every week / season with new affix.
But even if most people don’t try to push higher doesn’t mean the content is not there… unlike classic, where once you finish your timed strat run … that’s it. there’s nothing else in the 5-man game of classic left to challenge you. unsubcribe until next expansion… as you put it.
