Nathanos just went down to level 40s

There were like 12-14 Hunters in Asmon’s raid with an unknown amount in the other.

I honest to god would not be surprised.

With so many watching these streamers you know what that means ?

HUNTERS will finally be OP in classic. Stack those hunters folks.

No more “meh…we only need 1 hunter for tranq shot”

two raids of lvl 40s - 40s should hardly be touching something his level.

that’s how vanilla dungeon were… in all their glory, being tankable by shaman and healable by shadowpriest and such…

In classic? Easily possible stats>levels are what mattered back then.

Honestly gonna be real I think the reality is setting in for some of you that Classic was not this hardcore, impossible to kill s**t thing it was more difficult sure but the reality is Classic was literally designed for casual MMO players in mind since it’s release in 2004.

True but most of us didn’t try them at 10-15 levels lower then the dungeon mobs.

Even though healers were in a shortage groups didn’t want to take a healer too low because of aggro.

No, they weren’t. I leveled mostly through dungeons in Vanilla. Every dungeon run of at-level players required a full group going at a careful, steady pace with CC and kill order, especially starting with SM. Please troll somewhere else.

Not sure if serious or trolling…

Basically from what I understand, they work off the physical damage hit rating chart. And from what I remember physical damage hit rating is lower than what it is for spells. In addition to that, hunters don’t have to worry about dodges or parry which helps even more so.

So casters have trouble with it because for spells there is level based resists that apply and stack so it makes it harder for a caster to land a spell on a mob higher level than them.

Basically Hunters have an advantage in that they only have to deal with the hit rating difference. They don’t have to worry about dodge, parry, or glancing blows for their shots and auto attacks. Where as melee do have to worry about those things and casters have level resistance (on top of whatever normal resistances an NPC has) to go through.

TLDR. If you’re a low level group trying to take down a high level NPC, bring lots of hunters.

I think they tried adding dodge and parry and glancing blows to hunters, but then at level their dps absolutely tanked and in PvP they were gimped beyond usefulness.

But, as in all things, I have come to rely less and less on my memory of this game based on how poorly it has been performing.

Were those hunters all at hit cap so they never miss ?

Hunters do run into that when they melee.

no, they didn’t.

vanilla dungeon were tankable by non plate class, healable by people in DPS spec. odds are one of your DPS was a genius using spirit gear on a rogue cause he think it increased his energy regen. If you are lucky your healer is spreading SW:pain on pull to help with DPS, your tank didn’t knew sunder + heroic strike was all that mattered for aggro and instead wasted his rage with rend, Tclap and cleave.

Vanilla dungeon were, and still are, EASY. range class solo’ing the princess of maraudon, rogue solo’ing BRD bar for their shanker and so on.

And beside that…how the heck is CC’ing everything minus 1 mob, slowly tank-and-spanking your way through a dungeon, even remotely hard?

accept the truth. people were friggin awful… LFR-level of badness, back in 2004.

I already paid for it once. Them just charging a $15 fee for a 15 year old game is still robbery in many ways, but robbery that I will gladly and willingly allow.

yet M+ and mythic raiding are a hundred time harder than anything classic have to offer… but keep believing your slow-paced, 2-button character was somehow hard to play in classic.

Yes, for the 2% of the playerbase that was decked out in T2.5 and T3, there was stat inflation. But at level 65, 100% of the playerbase that were in greens that were dropping off world mobs.

My realm must have really been the top noob realm.
It was mostly the raiding guilds that went after the WB’s and they were decked out in purples.

Probably not at hit cap. But they were wearing twink gear…so I would imagine they have probably found anything and everything they can (enchants included) to increase their %chance to hit

Of course M+ are harder. Doesn’t make them fun or rewarding.
Too bad they are stuck in an irrelevant position.

At least the slower, more simplistic encounters in Classic drop deterministic loot that people slobber after.

let’s see how you feel about them after your 25th run of UBRS, with absolutely nothing to look forward to.

there’s a reason why the M+ system was introduced … the recurrent trend of 5man being irrelevant few week after the release of an expac.
