Remember how they did the legendary cloak quest in MoP?
I LOVED that I could earn a legendary from casual play. The only requirement was questing and sigils of power from doing the raid…which could be looted in lfr.
Survival Hunter as configured in Mists of Pandaria. It was not top of the charts, but it was so much fun to play. So I guess that’s why Blizzard dismantled it.
The speed run culture and the low tolerance for teaching/learning… You gotta go study some youtube video and stuff so you can be an expert before you even tried it. Bollocks.
I’ve never cared about the factions, I’ve always been more interested in "I’m a monk/I’m a warrior/I’m a mage, etc). The legion class focused questing was very cool in that way.
Dungeons: Dungeons just aren’t really memorable anymore
Raids: Since N’zoth, been nothing but meh
Classes: I mean, in a way I walked into sorrow being a warlock for more than a decade. Warlock’s like the blacksheep of classes, or the one guy you make eat at the kiddie table.
People correctly hate on war/titanforging from the perspective of raiding and M+. It adds an absolutely insane level of RNG to gearing, and has no place whatsoever in high end content.
On the other hand, it is a fantastic system for the open world. The idea that a world quest, emissary reward, random rare drop, etc, would potentially titanforge, made it worthwhile for the open world casuals to continue engaging even after they had hit the regular casual gear cap.
They sort of replicated that with the crest upgrade system, but it’s not quite the same.
Flying !! When Cataclysm went live and they enable flying in the old world they had me as subscriber for life. Well…until all things Pathfinder was implemented. I also miss the way the music use to loop back in the day. Its a good thing that they changed this though…they actualy saved me a bundle. I bought every sound track in iTunes up to that point. I turned the music off . Also miss leveling when it was a challenge.
That’s actually a setting you need to enable in your gameplay settings. Always has been. I’ve had to turn it on every time I’ve installed WoW on a new PC.
Nooo way, really !!! I will check this out. I really, really enjoyed the music. Thanks so much for getting back to me on this. As things are today I will welcome this distraction.
