Name Something Blizzard Did Well That You Miss

Eredar twins. We could use more of that for sure.

The lowest hanging fruit is “blizzard polish.” They’d release a game when it’s ready.

Now they don’t even have a QA department and we pay a sub to test everything for them.

I miss talking to gms.

I used to spend hours way back when just talking with gms about the most random things. Sometimes they’d send me ow1 crates or little goodies just for being nice and chatting with them for a bit.

I miss the OG Shadow Fang Keep; this guy shot to the top of my favourite dungeons back in BC since it was so well balanced by that point:

  1. The dungeon was relatively short so it could be completed inside of an hour.
  2. there was an absurd amount of things to skin; a dedicated skinner could easily hit 200 by just tirelessly farming that dungeon.
  3. The drop rate for greens was comparatively high (possibly due to mob density?) so low level characters could get gear and/or stuff to flip on the AH or DE for enchanters.
  4. There were a bunch of bosses that weren’t all that tough, so there was a lot of blue drops (and in many cases consistent ones; the jailer boss at the beginning consistently dropped leather shoulders with agility so everyone who wasn’t a clothy could get a decent armor piece)
  5. The music in the courtyard was great.

Probably my favourite dungeon. Cataclysm ruined it though; once worgen were playable blizz got real squeemish about us skinning them and so a lot of the dungeon got overhauled and stacked with RP.

I really like everything about Blizzard. You have to remember that, first and foremost, it’s a company with employees and all that entails. They all work hard to ensure our comfort and enjoyment.

The only thing I’d like to see changed is for collections to no longer be restricted to one region. I want to log into Europe and see my achievements and collections from America.

As for payments, I’d love for the subscription system to be replaced. I’d prefer to simply buy expansions and play. Alternatively, they could introduce a trial period up to level 70 without restrictions like bans on whispering, the auction house, and so on. In Classic, you don’t even need to buy expansions to play. If they can earn revenue by selling Brutosaur mounts, I’d be fine with that kind of monetization.

Real Time Strategy.

WoW players complain about a game that has barely changed since launch, at its core.

I complain about the slow methodical burning down of an RTS legacy.

We are not the same, or something.

fan service and breaking the emergency button glass

Using enemies that force you to take your time in Dungeons, especially when they crowd control, like stuff in Cataclysm, WoTLK, and so forth. Need more of those… Speedrunning outside of M+ needs to stop.

I miss when we just admitted people sucked instead of calling them casuals.

I miss when hunter pets had special talents and it was a challenge to go half way around the world looking for a specific pet.

I wish they did more stuff like Daughter of the Sea.

I couldn’t think of anything else.
