and yes it does slow it down you have to have like 50+ addons for the game to even be playable worth a damn
But the people who have the addon are the ones who actually care about character surnames. Those are the ones who are actually going to look. Nobody else walking through Orgrimmar cares about the names of the hundreds of other PCs they see. I canāt remember the names of my friends characters most of the time.
Also if having addons on your rig is going to drastically slow down a 15 year old game you probably want to look into an upgrade.

I play like 20 games not just wow my pc isnāt a āwow only pcā so those 250 addons to make the game worth playing visually with a good ui and all that addons up and when one goes out of date it breaks the damn game not the computer

What 250 addons are required? For a nice UI just get a suite like ElvUI.
have a hard time imagining a 3000 dollar PC doing that unless youāre playing WoW off a disk drive or something. Also addons are regularly updated. Look into an addon client. It stores your addons neatly and updating just takes a single button push

I bought 4 hard drives for one due to were i live i had to get water cooling and few other things because of how hot it gets i got the best ram the best cpu and I got some leds for laughs a long list of things id show you on my new egg buy list if we were on discord private chat also ā¦ The reason i have multiple hard drives is i split my games on each one i have ffxiv on one with all its āaddonsā i have my private yaoi hard drive and so forthā¦
well lets see for the elvui you have to have like 12 diffrent ones for console port to work for relax playing you have to have like 5 for aucation house non are perfect so you have to have like 12 then i got one for each class and each profession ā¦ a transmog one a few rp ones and immersion for realism ā¦ i would have to spend a hour listing
not even counting proper wiring and prevention stuff i had to buy that why i have no static damage and the surge protector best one i could find it adds up building a pc ā¦ more so when you have to buy the windows software
not even counting the few parts that i had to send back because it didnāt match the motherboard correctly on the ports
I mean for what is required to play fully on a level on dnd you have to have so many addons its not even funny its almost as many as the ā¦ mods required to play skyrim in a good way

I would definitely like longer limits (24?) as well as letting us put in a space for a last name. And the special character ā should be allowed. This alone would make it a lot easier to have names that sound cool but also havenāt been taken already.

Agreed,I feel if you play a fantasy MMO,one should get creative with their names rather than use edgy slurs,memes,food products, dudebro speak,etc. Aside from customizing appearance,creating your character in MMORPGs as a whole and tabletop campaigns is a big part of the fun and immersion. One of many reasons I got rid of my old moniker and altered it slightly to something moreā¦elvish. If I wanted to make a non immersive name Iād just play Call of Dude-bro.

We just need to allow apostrophes in naming.
Iām sure Blizzard can manage to add some more bad words to the blacklist with apostrophes, because thatās the only issue I see being they wonāt do it.
