Are you sure? I mean if a tree falls in a forest and I am not there to see it? Did it really fall?
Why work in the game at all? Game for fun)
I’ve never said they can’t be done. My issue is with the high level of failure rate for such little rewards. That’s been the whole point. I don’t have 5 nights a week to dedicate to both Raid Prog and M+. And I feel like most of the good not great players are in my boat. We want to play at a high level but we don’t have the time commitment that’s required.
How is Blizzard supposed to fix this issue?
This is just life brother, we all eventually get old and go a bit more casual.
who wants to tell him
is WME an acronym for something? this is really great info
there are 2 class discord servers I follow, the druid server is too leet for me and as a healer I used to get an inferiority complex in the past as I could never hit the DPS levels when the resto’s post their logs. on the other hand, the warrior discord is SUPER helpful and they would break down talents with a mindset that you’re there because you don’t know and want to be better and they never made me feel like “duh this is advanced class server go to the pre K one where they have crayons to explain your question to you in color” kind of way.
Exactly. “FUN” is subjective, and you are already chasing a “challenge” and it is blown up 10 fold when you do it with random players, outside of a voice chat, where everyone has their own playstyle. The reason people are pushing higher keys, easily I might add, without being here complaining, is because they are in a group, in voice chat, coordinating. PUGs are the least optimal way to accomplish ANYTHING in this game OP. This person hit the nail on the head.
Anybody who argues against this either doesn’t engage in this content at all or is completely asinine. Going in blindly with 4 randoms and zero communication will always be inheritantly less successful and more likely to be a negative experience than running with a premade group of friends.
100%. Imagine if the military had no communications systems, like at all, during a time of war. Even in the movie “Independence Day” we had to use morse code to communicate around the world to be successful. Friends / Guilds / Discord are KEY to timing Keys. Anything else is pure dumb luck
Fully agree with your take.
Ya they are.
I agree but this time it is not that. M+ 9 to 10 feels like 9 to 15. In df I did 14-15s it required some sort of delicate planning and the mobs were not casting this much.
Now, a small mistake can brick the key super fast. You wait 3 hours to form a party and the party disbands in 5 mins.
I am on the same boat as the op, we are decent players, not gods, and not getting anything value for our time.
And it is all just for the vault lottery.
The solution is easy, remove the fort/tyrannical being together. Or let us choose it. If you can do it, get double crests or a mythic piece drop. Or let those be together after 12-13.
There was a god party in DF those guys were doing 19-20s, watch their gameplay how they were pulling, right now you kinda need to play like that, and it is too much work. No one stopped their 19-20 runs, They choose to do it and which is fine, they were top 0.5%. You cannot expect everyone to run a dungeon like them.
It is salvageable, but the devs need to listen to the community.
They’ve ruined mythic+. I have more fun doing a raid now than I do in mythic+. It’s sad
It is fun.
I like keys but right now, pugging is a big coin flip. I’ve had so many groups fall apart at the end of a run and waste so much time.
if you don’t have FUN don’t DO IT.
WME is WOW Made Easy.
They make content feel like a job to dark pattern steer you into pay to avoid playing.
-
They feed players low ilvl gear to rush them to the mobile game-like gear wall, to try to monetize gear crafting and boosting. The gilded crests being kept behind +9 was to stonewall players once they hero 4/6’d themselves to make it feel mandatory to buy wow tokens to afford crafting 636 gear.
-
Mythic ID lockouts gatekeeping/making inaccessible mythic raiding to be only worthwhile to people who monetize their gameplay, to steer people into wow token for boosts.
To the company, sabotaging m+ is a method of squeezing players into boosting/crafting monetization. People already are sunk cost fallacy’d by the weekly great vault lootbox people sit in weekly timeout for, so this is how the company cashes out said sunk cost fallacy.
The company wants you buying wow tokens, and does not care about the game itself.
They also have been squeezing m+ year over year making the rewards worse. In shadowlands a +15 key maxed out vault and a +14 key maxed out dungeon drops. Blizzard changed the key scaling to obfuscate the reward stiffing, as old shadowlands rewards would be equivalent to maxing out a current +5 key for vault and a +4 key for dungeon chest. Someone does not want to get fired for investing resources into raids so they have a motive to make m+ feel bad as well.
People want a progressive RPG grind experience, but Blizzard has taken that away and turned it into a mobile game experience that’s meant to steer people into monetization. They want you getting stuck hitting a wall you do not have agency around and being forced to sit in timeout 6 days out of 7 so you get frustrated into paying for a wow token for boosting and crafting. It is in the company’s interest to bad faith the game design.
i agree but you have to understand, some people have defined their entire lives/self worth by the dumb number next to their name in a 20 year old mmorpg bro. we HAVE to make sure blizzard acquiesces to their every demands or else they might finally take showers/get jobs.
Aside from letting people skate on by for not knowing what defensives are, what does this actually do?
