Lets be honest people…the previous mplus reward system made raiding obsolete. With that being said, the difficulty curve may have been a tad to steep for the pugging scene. Blizz should look to revising key level jump from 9 to 10 and 11 to 12.
I fully expect old affixes to be back in s2 and tyr + fort removed from +10 (or at least no longer doubling up.)
Or people dislike raiding and trying to force people into it by nerfing m+ is a giant mistake. I’m only one person but my sub is now canceled, I’m not trying to have another job and schedule in a video game.
Instead of “nerfing” m+, they can simply buff raiding.
Loot is relative.
You’re telling me you WON’T care if normal raids gave mythic raid loot for some reason? m+ is untouched.
Positions people take tend to be: Don’t buff raid loot and don’t nerf m+.
If I can’t farm the guaranteed gear in M+ to perform better in raids, have more margin for error, and let the rest of the team enjoy the game, then my only option is to quit the game and focus on living a better life.
Lol. what?
M+ isn’t a tool to nerf raids. Raiders should raid to get better gear.
In our guild raid team,
players who never run Mythic+ are now at 605+ item level.
Players who only run Mythic+ 5-8 are at 615+ item level.
Players running Mythic+ 9-10 are now at 620+ item level.
And? Design wise, m+ isn’t a tool to nerf raids.
People just do it because it’s extremely easy.
Seriously, what happened to the Legion difficulty?
It seems that the hardcore players are much more into the whataboutmeism. You want the majority of the player base not to get items because you want to feel special walking through town in your special gear as if it is a badge of honor. You think people run through town and see you AFK at the auction house and say “Oh my god! This guy is the most badass player i have ever seen. Just look at his armor.” Instead, they just think “That armor looks cool.” They might inspect the name to go look up where it drops in the adventure guide, then go about their business.
M+ would be a lot better if everytime you died to a mechanic you got a new currency that you could upgrade your gear with. It would boost the ilvl of players that need more gear to progress and leave good players the challenge they want. Oh, the good players would abuse it to get gear you say? Why would they do that if they play for the challenge? Because they would be able to get further in m+ and be able to look down on people who can’t. Why aren’t you running +15 keys yet? Oh yeah, because you can’t with your gear and skill level. That’s how the bad players feel. Maybe they aren’t good enough to do 10s with the gear they can get. How would it feel to have to do 15s to get over 519, impossible right? Maybe you should stop judging people so hard for their performance and do higher keys because you enjoy it and let them get their welfare gear because noone cares if you feel special in your mythic gear.
Literally not it. I’m not even in the gear you are talking about and have been advocating for them to keep the difficulty even before I had KSM.
I will 100% agree I hate this BS of 3 tiers of consumables.
Mages have always been the favoured class for some reason. Not sure why. Don’t think they’ve gone a whole tier without being meta in most content.
This isn’t wrong, and only gets worse as the game goes on. Not sure how you would ever counter it though. People with way too much sway or coin can and will find ways to buy what they want.
That is 100% the entire point of M+. There is no cap on how hard it can go. Go on Youtube and check out the 31 King’s Rest completed back in BFA. 1 tiny tiny pixel misstep, dead. They weren’t going to ever time it, but they damn well wanted to see if they could complete it.
You would get even more toxic metas with that idea. Oh man, I am picturing some seriously degenerate tricks that could be utilized.
Don’t you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby. I’m damn well happy to see the likes of quaking, necrotic, sanguine all gone.
They’ve already sort of started that. The new system to get 3% more healing and damage per week or two will certainly help folks struggling.
They bring Lust, decent damage, can spell steal enemy buffs for themselves, mass barrier, decurse, and alter time is a very strong personal defensive on top of their mirror image.
Harder content gives better loot is a cornerstone of RPG design.
I mean the loot that drops from raids. 3% boost does nothing. It’s an alternative (hopefully) to nerfs by the hand of Blizzard, but those have happened just the same, so.
I know why they’re brought. What I mean is that every tier of every expansion, they seem to be given all the toys while Blizzard treats other classes like the unwanted children.
It’s going to stack. So 3%, 6%, 9% etc.
Oh, I see what you mean. Like why they continue to have all the tools that groups want to bring. I feel like that’s the same for several classes where they are either meta all the time, if not still top choice.
It’s irrelevant. That doesn’t affect the rest of the game.
I mean, 9% damage and healing is pretty significant. Even if it takes em 6 weeks to get there. You’re right it will not help them anywhere else except raid though. Mind you, that’s most likely where they need it the most.
The difficulty is always available with infinite scaling. You can push content as hard as you can complete. Why care that someone else wants to play a lower difficulty and get rewards unless it hurts your ego?
Harder content gives better loot, but content has gotten harder and harder over the years. How well do you think a player in 2005 would do if thrown into these dungeons and raids? That is the new player experience. Most of them are probably still clicking the spells on the bar to use abilities instead of using hotkeys. If i was a new player, trying to play in content with friends that have been playing for 20 years would be overwhelming. Even players that have been playing for 20 years need their addons like dbm, decursive, healbot, etc to help them play the game. It is a requirement for every serious raiding group or high level m+ group. New players are going to get frustrated before deciding to get good and quit the game. The community for the game is aging and it shows. Let the noobs have some fun, if you want a difficult game, turn off your dbm and listen for the voice lines that correspond with the abilities and use the infinite scaling systems to challenge yourself.
