I think what we’re seeing is a lot of people that join keys, decide someone is underperforming in the first two pulls, and then leave becoming concerned that their behavior might get them punished.
Which I suppose is possible if you’re doing this a few times per day but why are you doing that to begin with?
I think players who have M+ experience such as KSH are fine with it to be honest. They don’t want someone to repeatedly brick their keys either. Low skilled players are probably just as likely to brick keys because they have an over inflated sense of their own self importance. Pitting one side against the other is toxic behavior.
Except if your child has 3 emergencies in one hour, they might wonder why you keep signing up for keys. “Repeatedly and recklessly”… If that doesn’t apply then you needn’t be worried.
yeah, anybody in that boat should just start vetting the groups they join better. simple fix tbh.
i don’t see leavers very often, but when i do it’s almost always the worst player in the group. the hunter with no kicks or stops, who died 4 times in the first 2 pulls without ever hitting a defensive or a health pot? yeah, that’s the guy who’s gonna say “fail group” and leave
Exactly. The way Blizz worded their post, I took it to mean they’re targeting players who had bad intentions when they joined the group. Can’t know till we see some examples.
I’ve “abandoned” one key this season and while it was not my greatest run it was a collective failure that I’ll admit my play contributed to. Any other key I’ve left this season was after we were down to 4 already.
But I’m gonna leave without comment or say “sorry guys, gg.”
I had a healer leave last week on the last boss. Yeah we were going to be about 2 minutes over time, but it was my 8th 10 to fill out my vault lol. Their reason? They were mad about one of the DPS not using hero the way they wanted. Legit concern, but DUDES! It’s Monday night and we’re looking at last boss and I just want my vault done rofl (I had to tank another but I got it).
Exactly, I would like to know what they think about players who leave groups that don’t interrupt, don’t do the mechanics, have dps below the tank, among other situations that characterize a bad group.
Tyran does affect bosses. It’s fortified that affects trash mobs.
Also VDH is at its weakest at the very start of the pull. Need immolation aura and demon spikes already running before hitting pack with sigil of fire into fel dev (for heal and absorb) then toss out spirit bomb.
yes lool. i know how the game works. it was a tyrann trash pack meaning a trash pack with zero affixes on them. he shouldnt be dropping like a fly on pull to a regular pack on a tyrann week. he was going in with nothing rolling is my guess. ive been healing for years on almost every spec. this dude was paper
Lots of ways to vet groups before applying. I look at io score of leader to predict whether they will know how to assemble effective comp (e.g., brez, hero, balance of range & melee, etc.). I avoid FOTM classes without solid scores because they probably just rerolled and haven’t learned it yet.
i agree, i wasn’t being sarcastic. especially on my healers i just don’t apply to groups that look like they’re going to struggle. i won’t claim i time every key i join, but my success rate is pretty good. and probably about half the time i join a key thinking “this is probably going to go badly” it ends up going badly. i need to trust my instincts on that more!
That’s obligatory PR bs.
Empty words, means nothing when the spirit of the post was “we’ve banned these people and we’re not going to tell you to what metric, just at our discretion ”
