Mythic+ Is The WORST Choice Now

just say “oops i was wrong” because we were referring to vault gear.

m3 gives heroic track vault gear

Instead of making 100 posts complaining about this you could have just been running keys and getting upgrades. You’re falling behind complaining about this and progressing slower. You chose not to spend time doing those keys to get upgrades so I guess you really are 100% capable of choosing to just not do something to get upgrades.

I question how terrible your groups are that you are taking that long to clear a 3? They’re pathetically easy unless your group is purposely playing terribly, which is what I said at the start of this. The only difference between devles and keys is that 4 other people can ruin it for you in keys.

Find better groups, or join a guild, and this all becomes a non issue.

I am aware of what I said in my own post. We were talking about vault rewards.

t8 delves gives you heroic gear in your vault, as do M+3 keys.

idk, how many? what kind of crests? i’ve been wonering this as a pvper who might do some delves. i’ve been able to upgrade all my pvp champ gear for pve to 606 with my weekly crests. do delves give more?

instead of moving the goalposts and changing your focus on what you’re arguing about, just type “i’m not relevant to the conversation” since it’s about the ease of obtaining gear and effectively making it required for progression.

this EXACT SAME discussion was had when they made PVP items BIS in pvp raids. the SAME counterargument of “just don’t do it then hurp durp” was made.

to someone progression minded, it’s about spending the least amount of time to gain the most power they can. Until you’re fully saturated in heroic 616+ gear, that includes delves.

it’s that simple. It also includes doing low M+ and pushing that, which is also annoying.

this all funnels to being as strong as possible for m raid viability.

the answer isn’t “just do heroic raid and chip away at m raids herp derp”

i did my 5 keys this week and got 5 cloaks as choices. woo!

so one upgrade + 616 choice on tues which will also probably all be cloaks.

man i am gearing up so fast! /s

so ya, you can spam mythic+ for unlimited loot + upgrade mats + possibility to get loot from other players if they don’t need them and this makes them worse than devles? really?

What on earth

My wife likes raiding but it was a task to get her to KSM on even one character in M+. It’s just not a fun environment for her and I can understand why. I let all of the M+ garbage roll off of my shoulders but not everyone can and I understand that.

Delves are a perfect place for her and I to enjoy the game together while she still feels like she is progressing a character.

right, it comes down to number of pulls on the slot machine. to maximize those pulls you have to do this tangential content.

Imagine doing content because it’s fun.

Only catch is keys suck badly to do. Even doing them with guild doesn’t make them non cheek clenching.

I’ll take a single rainy day for 6 days of sunshine vs 7 partly sunny days.

And it is your choice to feel like you must maximize those pulls.

Either adjust to the new program or ignore it and get over it.

yup, people are still mesmerized by levelling up brann or something. some of the delves you can complete by literally running past all the mobs doing objectives and killing the boss.

It’s almost like M+ where you skip everything you can just to hit % and time the run.

By literally running past the mobs and killing the boss.

Bruh, it literally has nothing to do with groups. I have a dedicated group for both and i pug. I also do delves, tier 8, solo as DISC.

Delves are 100% easier.

Delves are definitely the easier way to gear up for those who dont have dedicated m+ teams. They also are great for people who get anxious about being the Reason things fail. It has filled the niche that a lot of low-M+ players once used lower m+ as their puddle instead.

I don’t think this means m+ is in a bad place. It just means its moving more towards the raid setup of ‘this is best with people you already know’. Is this bad for the game? Maybe. It reduces the amount of unrelated players playing together, and I made some good friends over the years playing with randos.

But I had way more bad experience with PUGs than good. So reducing the amount of PUGs people are forced to interact with might be a net benefit.

Eh, I’ll drag myself through M+ this season for the mount at least.

I may not like the content itself, but I sure do like the rewards.

option c: point out how ridiculous the progression is, just like people pointed out how ridiculous any number of progression systems were that were changed mid expansion? I take that option.

But I guess pvp items for pvp progression and whatever cheeseball borrowed power upgrade spam was in the game before never got changed, like speed farming maw for upgrades, etc.

who knows! i’m fairly confident that people don’t like not being able to do heroics after doing normals, and the answer then WEIRDLY ENOUGH is “well just do delves to progress hurr durr”
