Delves are not only easier, they are more rewarding.
What is happening right now is the same thing that happened in WoD with Garrisons. Because of Garrisons, no one had to leave them to get herbs, ore, fish…
Now, people arent doing Mythics. Trying to find a group isnt near as ubiquitous as its been in the past.
Mythics are harder, require more teamwork and communication and are LESS rewarding.
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
I dont need to group with anyone. I go in, mind control the first caster mob i see, do about 500k dps with my pet. Let Brann do whatever it is he does. Bam. 603 gear and even better vault reward.
Meanwhile, Mythic +2 bosses are one shotting people. Compelling game play. GJ.
Oh, you mean they have an option not to do mythics and they’re choosing it? This is nothing like Garrisons lol. Delves are actually in the world. Terrible comparison.
M+ community in shambles. Their precious members-only club has been exposed. The majority of players would rather challenge themselves with a solo gearing option instead of dealing with the toxicity from pugging mythics.
Sure, I can do that. Look below me to the areas I have quoted from your post:
A delve is going to be easier than a M+2 for the simple reason it is designed as an endgame pillar that can be solo’ed. This also means a ceiling on how good the gear you can get was put in place for Delves.
Mythics are more difficult because they require teamwork and as a direct result provide a higher reward ceiling. Not quite as high as a Mythic raid but you get access to Mythic quality gear from M+ if you go high enough.
M+ scales to be at least competitive with Mythic raiding in terms of difficulty and ability to progress through them. Again, with limitations though.
The reason it doesn’t make sense to you … is because you aren’t doing content high enough where any of the limitations matter. Hell, you aren’t even doing a +8 or +9 Delve if you are getting champion quality gear from it, since it still goes up to Hero gear.
The higher you go in a M+ or raid, the bigger the reward. But Delves are capped off, meaning that you cannot simply go as high in 'em as per M+ or raiding.
As it turns out, no one who have serious critique of M+ has ever referred to it as “esports.” Just another buzzword used incorrectly on these forums.
Instead of doing some self reflection on why people might choose doing delves and not participating in doing M+ anymore, some people within the M+ community would rather complain about it and ask for changes to make the people enjoying doing delves get less rewards to force them into M+.
Maybe instead you should ask yourself why so many people would rather be doing delves over M+, and what it is about M+ that turns people off to begin with. And maybe as a community, if you enjoy doing M+ a lot, we can make those changes so more people enjoy doing M+ too, and everyone is happy.
But no, nerf the loot, fun detected, force people to suffer.
Delves don’t really influence me doing keys. If you hand me two bowls of soup and one is just right and the other is too hot it burns my mouth I’m not going to eat it. I have to wait for that soup to cool down first.
Ive done m0’s but I just really don’t like the dungeon design this time around as a healer. I want them to make tanks good again and I want them to fix all the broken bosses
Delves are also capped lower than m+ progression wise. Delves are far easier to gear up fast, but you hit a ceiling with them fairly fast too, which I think is fair.
There’s also seasonal rewards for M+, so it’s not just about the gear you get from them.
