Mythic+ Is The WORST Choice Now

If you’re running a plate class and/or tank then sure, it’s not hard. But mail, leather, cloth classes have real problems running the content.

I have my lock up to a 602 and I still have to be careful with pulls and pay attention to mechanics because the margin for error is very slim. So, while the tuning may not account for classes built to take massive damage, it’s still quite hard for the majority of players out there.

Delves are a brand new concept so, you can’t compare them to anything in WoW.

As for the ilvl, you have to earn that by running several T8 delves, it doesn’t just fall in your lap. The content is hard and the rewards match the effort. Take it in stride and benefit from it instead of hating on it. If it’s “so easy” then you should be able to have your main and all alts decked out in 616 in no time.

and it won’t be as long as they have one activity that is vastly more rewarding than M+ 2-6

the problem is ilvl is only a part of the competency equation. you could be stacked in delve loot and still fail or struggle through m+ which then doesn’t give you any reward even if you succeed. that’s just bad balance.

you’re stuck like this with your handout gear until you “git gud” and suffer through low M+ with zero reward.

and blizz is covered by not ever saying delve was “supposed to” be anything other than solo progression. h’okay

Keys and Raid are literally this too, the only difference is you also have to rely on the other 4/19 people to do that as well. The game feels much easier when only you can mess things up.

Yeah because that’s definitely the feedback people are giving. Let’s see:

Started playing back in TBC and raided regularly for a long time. Life happened, 38 now, married with 3 girls that constantly have gymnastics or cheer going on so I don’t have the free time needed to sit down and run an entire raid. I didnt play at all in DF because of that. Decided to check out TWW and man I’ve been blown away.

It’s reignited my love for this game and being able to do solo content that actually feels rewarding, and gives gear comparable to heroic end game gear is amazing. It makes it even better that they’re not timed so I can go at my own pace. Anyway, it just feels good to love this game again after pretty much accepting I didn’t have the time for it anymore.

The most magical part for me is, the simple fact that I can literally take my hands off the keyboard, at anytime beyween fights, and walk away, and theres no problem.

I almost want to cry. It is just so freeing!!

Or like, I can stop and tweak a weakaura, or re-read a talent tooltip, and im not wasting anyone’s time.

Its like actually playing a game, instead of a stress test.

Not to mention exploring, or studying the scenery if i want! Its like i can actually enjoy the game… I didn’t know what i was missing until i felt it in delves.

Damn sure seems like people are really loving that loot

Conversely my lock beat a t9 severely undergeared post-nerf. Margin of error being slim? Haven’t seen that one. Pet class with CC… trivial content

2 t8 delves which take 15-30 mins each depending on the which one and the empowerment rngs.

616 will take 16 weeks of good RNG and not a lot of overlap. but the time spent playing is minuscule compared to how much time to saturate in 616 via heroic raids and m+

this effectively overlaps with progression, requiring people to chore through their 8 d8 runs each week.

I still think it’s crazy I did every dungeon this season on m0 and I didn’t get an achievement for it. If m0 is supposedly endgame m10’s you’d think there would be something like a mount or title

This has been an issue with pugs for a very long time now, it isn’t a problem unique to delves. If anything, the issue is that nothing in the game prepares anyone for the competency spike that comes with m+ or raiding above LFR. There is this massive gap between casual and high end content with no attempt to bridge it by blizzard.

m10 didnt give an achievement or title before the key scaling either. You didnt see the mount until you started timing 15s, which is around 5s now.

Um… you can get better gear with mythics and spam them. And better item stats too. And more shots at weekly loot/ tier.

m2 not so much, gotta be like m6-7 before m+ becomes more worth the effort tho

What’s with you all and mythics. You want gear go raid or delve. I’ve always thought people who just run dungeons over and over are just lame

right and only 10% of the runs have been that, meaning less than 10% of the players can do that. versus 100% of the players can do d8 by themselves for loot equivalent to many hours of gearing and progression to even get to m7

when they did the mythic smoosh their solution to the gear brickwall was delves. which is just a chore. and that much larger number of people doing delves hit that wall and wonder where their progression went.

it goes into m7. yet they go to m2 with their inflated ilvl, claim they’re getting 2 shot, and want more

Oh god please now they are a snooze fest delete them

You don’t seem to understand the point of delves. They are for people that don’t like group content so, of course, the higher tier rewards will be comparable. I don’t see your argument being valid at all here. You want to hate on delves for the “effort v. reward” ratio favoring rewards because you like m+ and raiding. Well, you don’t have to run delves and can get your gear through the means you choose.

But if you wish to be logical, and not emotional, you can take what you believe is the easier track and delve your way to higher gear and use that to get into high keys and raids.

There is no downside, you just don’t like that there is another path. You’re essentially boomering your way through this discussion by saying “in my day we had to run mythic+, uphill, both ways, in 10 feet of snow, barefoot just to get gear.”

But whatever dude, you sound ridiculous and it makes no sense to be so upset over having a faster track to get gear.

This proves that not many people want to do difficult M+ content. Blizzard should not have made it harder, they need to stop pushing content to become more and more difficult.

As for rewards, Delves only gives you one potential 616 a week then some lower gear with keys that are good to get started for the season. While M+ is more difficult you can endlessly farm gear and the vault item is better.

M+ Trinkets are also massively better than the garbage from Delves. You will likely want a raid trinket or two depending on your class tho.

I fail to see the problem.

Sounds good to me.

It’s literally week one of m+. I think its perfectly fine that only 10% of keys run are nearing the limit of what m+ has to offer for the majority of players. It would be silly if the majority of groups were already almost done with the content.

My Evoker and my Shaman (i’ve got 2 mail and 2 leather classes at 80) both fly through delves. I’ve already gotten a 6 done on the evoker who’s not even 580 yet. Shaman + Druid + Evoker all have exceptionally well crafted toolkit suited for soloing delves

Were you having fun though.

Give everybody their options, let them all get the same gear, and see what players ultimately choose to do. If nobody runs M+ because nobody wants to run M+ as opposed to Delves, then the problem isn’t Delves–the problem is M+.
