The people that dislike rIO the most don’t seem to understand how it works. You literally cant do something to hurt your “resume” (where resume = rIO score). You can only make it better.
Considering your statements about “messing up a resume”, how you can predict the future, it just makes me thinks other things might be off. Like your personal statistical average for people leaving.
And when people claim they are constantly getting into groups where people bail on them, it makes me wonder about other factors.
I think I have had 1 person bail on a group on me in the last 5 months. This is all in the 8-15 range. This was after the group wiped, multiple times, to some of the easier mechanics of an easier boss in a dungeon. Pushing doubt they’d be able to overcome something harder later on.
If people are regularly having this happen to them, I can only wonder about what is really going on for this type of activity to spike up in their presence.
I get that can happen. I am questioning how often it happens. And if a person has it happen to them constantly, I am curious as to what that person is doing to make it happen.
You’re right it is. Everyone is telling you that their experience has been opposite of what you are claiming, and assuming that you are not just lying to make a point on the forums, the only X factor in that situation is “you”.
M+ is a reasonably good system in a game that has fundamental design flaws around instanced content.
What they did to M+ in BFA is inexcusable. It only happened because Azerite gear was a worse mistake that absorbed a lot of designer time post-launch.
It’s a hot mess of bad encounter design versus bad class design. That nobody considered how bad it was to have immobile specs with highly mobile encounters or an interrupt demand of 4+ melee kicks. Or a poison/disease dispel requirement when so many healers don’t have that.
On and on. It’s just a mess but one that was on the back burner the enter time Azerite gear and essences remained an issue.
I don’t have high hopes for Shadowlands so no preorder. I’ll wait and see how it reviews on the classes I play before buying.
Its been like that since week 1 of BFA. I had quit my sub before coming back to level alts, because I had nothing left to do except raid, which I don’t, and couldn’t even get an M0 group to finish the Boralus quest line before 8.1. Was pretty damn frustrated. I was advocating for M0 queues at least. Would have been a godsend for some at the beginning of the xpansion.
Wasn’t til later that I realized just how many dps apply to groups. But at least a queue would have held my place in line, instead of constantly being “sent to the back”.
I’m on your realm, but not your faction… there aren’t a lot of options.
Its not just lopsided realms, its also the small pop realms where people don’t have a lot of endgame options.
Thats fine. I will try to find a point you made to more “properly” respond to.
Specifically, what encounters do you feel are a mess?
What classes are designed in a way they can’t…do whatever it is you are implying but not saying they cant…in order to throw out a “but thats not what I said” statement.
