Mythic+ culture is extremely toxic. Here’s why

I’ve caught some “tail ends” of party chat when I get accepted into a group. I have seen a few times “should have gotten a Prot Warrior”. I laugh at that because it’s not like there is a ton of tanks who will put themselves out there into the hate of the PUG life.

Yes it did.

Problems like this only really occur at the extreme ends of the spectrum. Sub +10 you get declined because the people doing those keys don’t really understand the game and just follow what they see high end streamers or MDI doing. At the higher end, non meta classes are declined because every second on the timer matters and like it or not, if you’re playing an mm hunter, affli lock, etc you’re just a liability - tough luck - you’re just going to have to find a group to push with. Sub +18 and above +10 no one should ever decline you because of your spec (unless tol dagor tyrannical, DH and rogue are required), you should only be declined because of your io.

You make the KotEB look good, sir

blacksmiths and scribes say hello

Noticed they mentioned DH, possibly for helping with the last boss and mitigating the debuff?

I wouldn’t do a tol without a DH and a rogue. You’re right they’re not required but if you do one without them you are intentionally accepting a heavy handicap. I would not be upset to be declined to a tol if they said they only needed either of those classes

I’m curious about Tol Dagor. Is it for the last boss?

Yeah, dodging the shot… not sure how bad it would be without tbh I haven’t done one without in so long

Get rid of mythic+, Ive been saying it since I came back to WoW after a 10 year break. This is the worst idea EVER! You can implement non-raid activities another way that is less toxic.

Think about solo players who need to PUG. They are left behind. Heck, my 430-450 characters cant even get into a NORMAL nyalotha raid even though I know all the fights because I didnt even link them a HEROIC Nyalotha achievement.

As a shaman I can dodge the last shot one bonus time. cough

Get out of here, that’s a lie. I pugged to 2400 io before getting a group. Push your own key, easy.

I salute you

No thanks, m+ is the best thing added to the game since Karazhan.

The only “toxic” part of it is found when people stubbornly and absurdly insist on pugging the content that was not designed for pugs.

This content was not designed for them.

This is how you break out of pugging and find a group of people to enjoy the content with.

It might come as shocking news, but pugs don’t care about you! They never have, and they never will.

I do 15s and 16s every week. Get good.

Unfortunately, FOTM folks have been here since vanilla.

I run with a HPal and I tank, so we have blessings of protection and two personal bubbles to soak. I can see the explosive burst hurting, which DHs Darkness can help with.

Blizzard created a system where more content is gated by other players than the last few. Players did not create the system.

No it’s not the explosive burst I’m talking about its the deadeye shot I think it’s called… dh can blade dance every one, reducing damage significantly. If you take a double explosive burst into a deadeye shot it can be very difficult to heal through. Although you are right having double pally would be very helpful

i feel like majority of the reason you believe it’s toxic is actually spec imbalance. nobody is entitled to be accepted into any groups. rejecting because of someone is certain spec is not an issue of that person not wanting the same thing as you or giving you what you want. it would be blizzard’s responsibility to try their best to make all specs ‘viable’ ideally. so you could talk about how you would change certain specs to solve the issue of how ppl favor whats better than whats worse instead of mocking them for trying to be optimal for their own gameplay experience. not wanting a spec, i wouldnt say, is a toxicity. they got nothing against you personally, just the game design they favor and not favor.
