Mythic 7+ should give gilded crests

I see this brought up alot but I am curious to ask what exactly is the end goal of the game. Is it gear, completing the raid, or doing +15 keys? Do people need to be able to do the highest content to get the highest gear or should gear be used to do the highest content?

Also its not practical that someone is going to get fully mythic geared from M+. At best it would take ~4 months to get fully decked out that way. This thread has been about upgrading hero track gear which is a full tier behind.

I think my position is clear. I could care less how geared people are I just want to clear the raid with the average joe.

True, but 9 is a push key, being less accessible, at 8, allows people to make small advances until they are ready to push and doesn’t have as much impact on the players pushing the 9-10 bracket.

For M+ players that is similar to what raiders do with splits.

I’d disagree heroic is relatively easy to clear.

I can’t even get in m+ groups because I missed a week or so and have no numbers. Is it still possible sure? Realistically though I’ll probably just not waste the time and hassle of trying to so do it now.

Verse heroic were I kinda just show up and collect my prize.

You’re really advocating for putting mythic track vault further out of reach of players? hahaha.

Yeah in that sense, delves should be nerfed as well. Lets make delves drop 584 gear at lvl 8 and 600 from maps or vaults. But oh no, delves give 616 h gear which is better then actually farming heroic raid and faster.

Its a nonsensical discussion. M+ should give Mythic ilvl at 8 in vault and some crests, nerfing everything isnt making the game more fun, justa tedious grind, tedious make players quit, then blizzard overcompensate making things easy and meaningless, then we are back at square 1.

The raiders obsession with min maxing is and the ridiculous competition of guild ranks is what keeps ruining this game and the crazy amount of fun we could have if gearing was faster.

I disagree with OP. You want the crests, you’ve gotta work for 'em in higher keys.

If you’re running 9s for them you don’t have Tyran+Fort, and that’s a pretty good deal tbh. That seems to have been Blizzard’s compromise and it is fair.

What do you think about lowering the difficulty to LFR / queued content for everything?

+8 will be just as hard as heroic dungeons. (It will still be a +8 because number go up is important to some people.)

And because keys keep increasing without difficulty changes whatsoever, we’ll get to key level over 9000 at some point I’m sure.

I fully expect delve gear to get nerfed in season 2

I’m so strongly against capping rune crests weekly. Gilded? Fine. That’s for BiS gear. But rune? Let people grind their hearts away. They can’t get full myth track gear on the first week, so why handicap hero track gear which is eventually replaced anyway.

Because it would artificially inflate (required) item level for lower keys during early season.

Which leads to this.

DF system was working, make it 8. who cares if people get crests and upgrade their gear. wow what a bad thing…

S4 - all bis items were available and yet the player profile was the same. It is a mentality, some people like to learn and push, and some others don’t put any effort - even if we give them the same items, same everything.

So, crappy ones will be crappy all the time, aannnnd the gods will stay as gods.
With the gilded crests are being dropped after 9 is just punishing the white collar of the wow, people who would like to push/learn/and better than average people.

Because then people would have an even harder time getting into keys.

S4 makes loot feel irrelevant, gameplay not that rewarding. Trash content design. Would rather S4 not exist.

Getting stronger is fun…

I like to push as high as i can and i pug a lot since my guild doesnt really have the same goals that i do.

Ilvl matters a lot when you pug.

Its a game and its about having fun, again, getting stronger is a part of that.

You still have to grind the crests in those dungeons. You’re getting 3 crests a dungeon. That’s 5 dungeons to get 3 ilvl upgrade on 1 piece of gear. Be so fr right now. If i’ve done 50+ dungeons, where’s the inflation? The content was played as intended. Just hidden timegating

Do I think they should be capped still? Absolutely.

I think GILDED crests should be capped, but rune …? Edit * lets give you the option to upgrade all your gear, except you gotta wait 2 months to get the crests needed. You’re likely to get myth track gear before fully upgrading the pieces from hero track gear (if you’re pushing end-game)

From my experience and the feedback i see, its not that people aren’t willing to try. Its the fact it only has one lane for progression and that lane is congested and contested.
