It’s a very much repeatedly reported bug:

Dismiss Pet, Pet Returns On It's Own

Since 8.1.5 my pet will not stayed dismissed. Dismiss pet, ride mount, dismount and pet pops back up. Dismiss pet, take a flight path, land and pet pops back up. Sometimes I just want to dismiss pet while I do other things, call it back when ready to quest. I have 3 pets and it happens to all 3.

Dismounting resummons previously-dismissed Water Elemental

Before 8.1.5, dismissing a Water Elemental (right-click on elemental and Dismiss) was persistent. It would stay gone until a new one was summoned. Now, my frost mage will dismiss an elemental, then mount up and ride/fly around, but upon dismounting the elemental is automatically resummoned. That’s really, really annoying. Voidwalker not dismissing

When you dismiss your voidwalker he will re appear in a short time , However when you dismiss the voidwalker and log out of the game and log back in it will stay dismissed until summoned.

Hunter pets not staying dismissed

Seems a new bug is making it so that when you fly after dismissing your pet as a hunter, the pet resummons itself. Just found out when I went to tame the fire turtle in front of the Firelands raid portal, and even after dismissing my pet when I landed from flying my pet resummoned itself and killed the turtle.

My pets will not stay dismissed

My pets are being recalled each time I dismount. When I dismiss them shouldn’t they stay dismissed, right ??

Dismissed Unholy DK pet raising back on it's own

Since 8.1.5 on my Unholy DK, I can dismiss my pet, mount up, unmount and the pet is no longer dismissed : I didn’t click Raise Dead at all, the game does it on it’s own.

Hunter pets not staying dismissed

As title says. Pets not staying dismissed. Once you use a flight master to go somewhere when you land pet is automatically summoned. Same thing is happening when using regular mounts. Anyways pets not staying dismissed.

Please Fix Dismiss Pet Bug

When it this issue going to be fixed…its driving me nuts…I have reason to keep my pet dismissed not brought back out when I dismount or use a portal or use a flight point…this has been happening since the last patch…

Warlock pets resummoning after dismissal

I prefer to keep my demons unsummoned when in cities. However, when I dismount, whichever one I had out last is resummoned. Not game-breaking in any way, just irritating

Dismissed hunter pet Auto re spawning

I have a new KT hunter. But when I dismiss my bird because I am just doing stuff in SW like profession dailies. The darn thing re spawns after I cast for fishing, or pick up a pumpkin. etc. Is this a setting I never heard of or a glitch? anyone have a clue? It is annoying.

BUG: still NOT FIXED - Dismissed pets keep reappearing

Bugged action “Dismiss” pet: I have noticed since last week’s patch that every time I dismiss my warlock pets, they reappear when I dismount, take a portal/taxi. What’s going on? This has not been an issue for me until this last patch (week ago). All weekend I’ve had to constantly dismiss my void walker or imp because they don’t stay dismissed when I tell them to go away. Not working as intended…please fix this. I’ve already submitted an in-game bug report but its getting to be a PITA… If…

Hunter Pet Dismissing Bug

Dismissing Hunter Pet Issue: Dismiss pet Mount up and run around Upon dismounting your Mount Dismissed pet that you did in the beginning is auto summoned. Hunter pet not staying dismissed

Here to report another hunter pet bug. Pets are not staying “dismissed”. At first I thought I had accidently moved before the dismiss was complete, but it’s happened many times for me now. I just tried to dismiss my Chimerra, he disappeared, only to have him return when I got on the boat to do a few champion missions. I dismissed him again, only to have him return when I ran back to the marketplace.
