My pets will not stay dismissed

My pets are being recalled each time I dismount. When I dismiss them shouldn’t they stay dismissed, right ??

Here is a thread regarding this problem. I’m sure its not the only one but its the easiest I could find.

BUG: still NOT FIXED - Dismissed pets keep reappearing

This Bugged Pet issue is becoming a major problem. I dismissed my pet and did the Tortollan Cycle of Life quest only to have my pet immediately respawn and stay in the frame while I attempted to do this quest. Getting in the way…when pets are dismissed…they NEED TO STAY DISMISSED. Fix this problem.
