Multiple wow accounts

Hi, I have 2 purchased wow accounts on the one battle net account.

If I activate both would I be able to access them at the same time?
I’m asking because I can only log in to my battle net account on one computer at a time. Making me assume that if I could use both wow accounts on 2 different computers I would need to use the wow launcher instead of the battle net launcher, but i’m just wanting to confirm.

I’m not at my game computer right now, so forgive me for not having the exact answer, but the Battlenet launcher does have an option to allow you to launch multiple instances at the same time from what I remember. I know for sure that you can access both of your accounts at the same time.

Yes, you may. You’ll only be able to log into a single instance of the Battle.net account at a time, but you can have multiple WoW licenses on that Battle.net active. So you could log into WoW1 and WoW2, either on the same computer or two different ones.

Keep in mind that only the registered user of the account should be accessing it. With the exception that the registered user may allow one minor child, that they are the parent or legal guardian of, to access the account.

There’s a launcher option to shut down the launcher after starting a game which will ensure that you only have either one or no instances of the launcher active.

ok just to be clear … i can run two accounts of wow on the same computer at the same time so as i can play both my toons together as it is so hard to get all i need to get flying in shadow lands and it will make it easier to help others to get there flying aswell plus i actually like playing two at once together… I dont have many friends … lol …

Seeing that this thread is almost 2 years old, it would have been best to start a new thread.

Here’s a link to the most recent Multiboxing support article and announcement:

Yes. You can run two WoW licenses, that you are the registered user of, on the same computer.

Can i run 3 ? All on the same computer, all manual input from one mouse and a razer tartarus, but again I insist on the fully manual. i manually click client 1, do my actions, click client 2, do actions and same for third ?

Multiboxing is completely unsupported. They cannot tell you want you can or cannot do beyond the official support articles.

Basically, so not use ANY software or hardware to multibox.

Personally, I just no longer recommend it. At all.

You may want to start a new topic. This one is 4 years old and any information may be outdated.

You can run as many as you want, but you have to control them all manually. If you use anything to streamline the process then you are going to get in a lot of trouble.

Also, keep in mind that- oh for goodness sake both of you said exactly what I was going to.

Specifically, you can’t use any hardware or software, including native Windows functions, to send commands to an inactive window. You need to activate a window of the game with a click or tabbing to it, send the commands that you want to send to just that game instance with the usual caveats that it has to be one keypress = one action in one account, and then click or tab to the next one.

that is exactly what i do

I want to add to this to point out that even the Windows functions which let you automatically activate a window by mousing over it, is a violation of the “streamlining” policy. You cannot do ANYTHING to streamline the process. You have to click or alt tab between windows and only play one at a time.

I saw someone get banned for activating the Windows function that let mouseover activate a window. They bound the scroll wheel to a spell, put the mouse on that window, and used it to spam an ability. The multiboxing rules are extremely strict now.

I have been multi boxing for years and I’ve never been banned or warned, but I don’t use any software or do any crazy things with windows. I have multiple accounts, although I can’t afford to keep them paid up at one time, I occasionally do have them all on a sub just for fun. I don’t do nothing too serious with them. All I do is tab and switch between windows manually, I don’t know how to do anything else! I’m always interested in meeting other people who multi box. It’s not that common anymore, but there is still a small group of people who are interested in it or who do it. Some do it the wrong way and end up getting banned and some (like me) do it the right way. Just don’t ever use any software, don’t ever use any automated things. You have to do it manually, but it is possible to do it manually because I have been! It’s true that they are kind of strict about the rules, but basically you can do it if you’re on one screen at a time, even though you have multiple characters out on one computer and you just switch back-and-forth. Also, if you’re gonna run the game on multiple instances, you need a pretty good system, because otherwise it’s just gonna be lag city.

very good point and thanks for mentioning this. i didn’t do it but it’s a good warning. i use a 42 inch television and have 3 windows up. but I click each one. in the second and third windows I setup macros to follow and attack target of party leader. but I click each window one at a time in a rotation

I think this one should just be locked so people can make new threads rather than bumping this one.
