Yeah except the major difference with RDF is you can actually play the game while you look for a group.

Now highlight it
Press CTRL+C
Now quest, every few minutes press enter and press CTRL+V then enter again
This will paste your one liner LF Tank ad and you can go right back to questing afterwards
So, you’re confirming about focusing on the chat instead of playing the game.

You don’t need to ‘focus’ you’re pressing two buttons and waiting for a whisper? I’m sorry but if that requires too much of your attention span I hate to say it but dungeons may not be at your pace 
So you are essentially telling people to roll need even when they do not need it, so they can farm shards. Nice! There is more of that enchanting community everyone seems so afraid will get destroyed…

Do you actually play the game to make such a dumb comment like that? You’re actually spending the time sitting in one spot focusing on the chat hoping that there is a group available that you want to do or focusing on looking out for a whisper for people.
I’m just about to start my 6th H World Tour. Should be pre-raid BIS by tonight. Longest I’ve waited looking for any one of those dungeons is about 10 minutes and that’s because I was being super picky making sure DPS wasn’t overlapping with the gear type I needed.
I’m really sorry, I’m not trying to be rude. But I think this is a challenge only you’re facing…everyone else I know and play with can manage the chat and play the game at the same time You do know you don’t have to read everyone elses LFG posts…right?
When I’m posting in LFG I have it in it’s own chat tab I don’t even have open. Nothing in LFG matters to me when I’m looking for a tank or dps. I’m posting a generic ad and waiting for a whisper.
When I’ve waited 5-10 minutes in BC for a tank for H MGT I would do dailies at the same time. Unless I’m looking for a group to join (rare, as I often choose to lead) I don’t even have the LFG chat channel visible, I just copy and paste my message and it only delays like two GCDs lmao
But honestly I get a group together in 2 minutes every time so it’s entirely moot.
Meh, part of the reason i chose to farm that way is it helps other people and can build social connections that can help in the long run.

RDF allows a player with little game time to do more with their time while queued.

It encourages people to level as a tank. RDF also allows you to do other things while in queue. Spamming refresh on the LFG tool keeps you from playing the game, if you do not spam refresh you are gonna be waiting a very long time.
Also, people like the posters below exist.
The game needs RDF.

Depends on the server, Pagle ( pre 80 ) has a ton of healers. Usually I see 2 healers for every 3 dps in queue and of course 0 tanks.

Blizzard could allow people to boost a tank class for free. Caveat would be the character only has tank spec available. This would inject tanks into the system.
Or, Blizzard could just add RDF and be done with this folly they insist on.

So for every 10 DPS added to said queue, 2 heals join, and 1 tank joins.
What you want is 100 DPS added to said queue, 20 heals join and 10 tanks join.

The game would be better if the carebears and people who don’t like the game didn’t play it. The groups the form based on these automations were toxic and terrible. It foster an environment that is awful and still exists in retail. Don’t want them to ruin the game again.

That happened. Blizzard merged servers because so many people left in TBC.
We’re going to get to the point where the population dwindles because folks are raid logging and don’t have much to do during content lulls.
I’m leveling a low level character right now and I’m struggling to put together a group for deadmines. No one wants to run lower level content (which is understandable).
But seriously, this is an MMORPG and I cannot run the first dungeon for my faction? That’s a problem. It indicates that low level content is dead.

Hopefully that happens again when Dragonflight releases. It would be ideal if the type of player that wants all the conveniences didn’t play this version and did something they like. Better for both communities.
On fresh servers this isn’t a problem at all. The automations don’t invent people for the old content.
Wrath opened a week ago and you want people in two expansions prior?
No it isn’t. It was always this way right after expansion launch.
It indicates an obvious reality on any established server.
