Multiple groups abandoned due to no tanks. LFG is not working

I’ve linked the patch notes countless times. But I find it a bit insane that folks are complaining about players who want the same conveniences that existed back in 2009.

It was literally in WotLK.

That’s like complaining about people who want the 30 minute hearthstone…

Too bad. It’s not now. The game is much better for it. They aren’t putting those bad tools back in the game. Read the current patch notes. Old ones don’t matter. Your opinion doesn’t matter. They’ve made their decision.

That’s not true. My opinion matters along with everyone’s opinon.

If people’s opinions didn’t matter there wouldn’t be a discussion forum.

Well, this was supposed to be a faithful restoration of the game. But it’s not now I guess. Which is odd. Might as well add the WoW token since we’re changing the game. I’d love to go on more GDKP runs.

Your opinion related to RDF doesn’t matter. They reviewed both sides of this discussion for months. They made their choice. So, no, it doesn’t matter. They will not add it to the game.

It’s whatever it is. It doesn’t matter what it was “supposed” to be. You don’t have to play it if you don’t like it.

Not odd. They made better and wiser choices. Smart business choices. As long as you’re still here paying, their choices were correct. Businesses run on $$$.

No…

Most people would consider you part of a new toxic pattern. I’m not against you playing how you want. If this is what you’re interested in,… :+1:

Why not? They added a boost. The WoW token would be a great way to generate additional revenue for Classic. Who cares if it wasn’t in the game? Boosts weren’t in original WotLK.

We’re changing things now. So add the WoW token please. I’d love some more gold.

You realize that even with RDF, they’re going to charge, right?

Yep. It actually just makes it easier to charge gold.

I see this a lot and no they don’t conjure people out of thin air, but what it does do it entice people like myself to use the system to dungeon and hey presto one more healer who wasn’t using it before due to reason in my other posts
A distance to dungeon
B distance back to levelling area
C, it takes too long to find groups and you are really stuck spamming the channel because there is hardly anyone in the in game tool (on my realm and levelling levels) as you have seen.
These are only MY reasons why when i see one I could heal I just don’t bother, I feel sorry so those same people looking 20 mins later who I could have helped, but not sorry enough to heal for them.

Not that I am a bad person, but we are all playing to get to max to then do whatever we want and travelling to and from is not improving my level at all as the dungeons themselves give SFA XP its just not worth it.

So no, you are correct it doesn’t invent people, but, it entices those that would do so if, to actually do so.

the fault of this is with people that pay, just like buying gold, at te end of the day if there was no market it wouldn’t happen, however as all the ant LFD people say, get in a good guild lol.
Not all tanks and healers are jerks that charge gold to do a dungeon.

I’m okay with this loss. The game is better without these conveniences and I’m okay with these players not being available. The groups are better with people willing to make an effort. This weeds out the others.

The fact that you used the phrase “the squad” not only tells us that you didn’t play in the original Wrath, but that you are the typical Zoomer bro and makes me want to stay as far away from Wrath classic as possible.

And if you want to go the WoW resume route. Been playing since launch, have multiple feats of strength including The Undying Title, one of the most sought after WoTLK titles.

seriously, stop commenting.

But that’s shortsighted… what about lowbie’s you need fresh players coming in to replace one’s going out if you have a population decline leading to death. How many di you think will hang around if they can’t even get a group for RFC or dead mines etc?
I am sure you would be happy with the decline, but I can guarantee you blizzard won’t be, and you’ll get crz and all the things you don’t want

It also gives you access to a deeper dps pool, which all compete for said tanks/healers.

They have to earn their character by leveling. Just like its always been before they put terrible tools in the game. The fact that I like the original era of this game isn’t the problem. Blizzard released this version and it caters to people like me who like it. The problem are all you folks who think they need to cater to this carebear era of the game where they remove every friction and hand you a trophy.

You have to grind your toon up. You have to level. The people that quit and don’t like it have an alternative, retail, and their absence is better for Wrath overall.

The original wrath didn’t lead to death. This one won’t either. The players that shouldn’t be here will quit. That’s a good thing.

Certainly happy if players who depend on conveniences and choose not to engage in the game otherwise end up leaving. Yes, I think it’s better for wrath overall.

I don’t agree with your guarantee. You don’t have the ability to make that guarantee.

And, if you think all these people whining are actually going to stop paying, … you haven’t been here long. This mass forum behavior has been here since the beta of this game. It actually represents a small portion of the player base and generally they are vocal, toxic, and aren’t representative of the general experience in the game. It has basically always been this way.

The original wrath had LFD for a little over 48% of its life so no it wouldn’t have because it enabled people in the lower brackets to find people etc.

Yup. I suspect the game would have continued to be wildly successful had they not added this feature (along with plenty more in Cata). A few choices before RDF, RDF itself, and changes in Cata carved away at the player base pretty good.

They haven’t reversed all of 'em but Wrath is in a really good spot as it sits. So long as they don’t add RDF back, I look forward to the game being successful all the way through the expansion.

Yes I do, its called experience and previous history.

I have been here since TBC, and I have seen people leave as have you, unless you think there is still 12 million players.

If you have been in retail or in any of the firms that do research into customer behavior over all sectors there is one thing in common for every 1 there is 10 that don’t complain and don’t come back.
Actually thats when I was still working lets see… wow its jumped up a bit.

" 96% of Unhappy Customers Don’t Complain, but 91% of Those Will Simply Leave. This statistic, according to 1st Financial Training Services, goes hand-in-hand with the above one. Again, don’t assume that no news is good news."

I mean obviously that’s not going to be exact as it’s over the entire retail sector of which gaming is a part, but you get the general picture, however it’s not the people in here that you need to be concerned with, it’s the others, the people in here are trying to get their voices heard on a product they love, they haven’t left “yet” let’s take the loudest discourse here which I believe is LFD, how many do you think have just left? and will do so daily without complaining once they are fed up enough, That is not a good thing no matter how you feel about it.

Finally, Yeah I know I carried on a bit! please do not tag me with a label, you can point out any weakness true or false you want but don’t tag me it is belittling and a copout for you, I.E I am not a “care-bear” to be boxed away.

No you don’t. False equivalence fallacy.

After they introduced bad choices. I started in beta. The game only grew until these choices. RDF was a cancer; or perhaps a “drug” that removed too many frictions and added too many conveniences. It changed the dynamics on realms immediately. It fostered a terrible environment of play in the spirit of convenience. It catered to the worst of their player base, and that carebear player base drank it up, and then dumped the game immediately. …They will do it again if it’s added.

The game, prior to these features, was a slow painful friction and you had to earn everything. People were invested in their realms and characters. This version of wrath is closer to that era and it was THAT era that saw all the growth.

Sure, the promise of Cata kept people around at the end of Wrath, and plenty of the mistakes in cata contributed to the decline, but it was the culmination of bad ideas. RDF was one of them.

Games are nothing like general retail

I think they’ll leave when dragonflight is released. The kind of player complaining thrives in dragonflight, for a short time, and then dump the game. Just like they did the first time.

Overall, better for wrath.

You say that like its fact, but it is not. as you are fond of pointing out its supposition.

yes they are exactly like general retail, someone buys something and gets a product it doesn’t matter if that… actually don’t worry.
Have a good night

Of course its speculation. That seems obvious considering no forum person has any data. However, Blizzard has data, and they seem to be making the choices I align with so thus far, I feel pretty good about my speculation.

You don’t buy a t-shirt and then focus on your t-shirt for hours a day. You don’t buy a toothbrush and commit hours a day on it.
