Multiboxing seems like an unfair advantage

Didn’t know this was a race.

It is actually to a lot of people. But in any shared online experience, there is a degree of competition. People demand a rule set that everybody follows – that’s why exploitation is not tolerated.

Sounds like you think pay2win is just fine though. You’re using the same excuses they use.

No that is the kind of multiboxing YOU are talking about because its the only thing you understand.

I did the ISBOXER sw in EQ because it is allowed and EQ needs a group to really be effective. Even with ideal comps its not the same as botting. How do I know that? I used mercenaries in EQ - they literally are bot companions the game lets you buy / rent with in game currency

I have also created my own EQ server using legal but unsupported software that Daybreak allowed. It has addon pacs for bots so you can play solo in your own server (never need to connect to the internet)

I have also played truebox servers and seen people break the rules

Anyone who thinks any kind of multiboxing - outside of full on botting - is simple and insta-win is cheating has 0 clue how it works or how difficult it actually is to make any of it work

When it WAS allowed in WoW, i tried it for a day or 2. Wow is too simple a game to level through and do things solo its not worth the hassle to multibox in. I could see maybe in hc to have a pocket healer but again alt tabbing is too much of a hassle when you can just run shaman, paladin or druid - though solo dungeons were fun

In the end there are 2 people who scream against MBing. People who try to make gold as a living and people who PvP - both of which have had things that could easily be countered if Blizz wasnt employed by people trying to supplement their income selling gold, orre, herbs dungeon runs

if you want complete fairness across the board, you need the bloodsail HC SSF rules. simple as. but those were “too restricting” or whatever, so now you get what you get. this means there are plenty of ways to cheese HC, and that’s just the way it’s gonna be because ya’ll rejected the SSF rules :expressionless: deal with it.

Any form of competition should be banned.

its toxic in a co-op game & destroys the community

It why I play older version of games - people running around buffing and healing others so they dont die is the cornerstone of MMORPGs - not world firsts for sweating losers

Multiboxing isn’t bannable lol.

Using software that automates keystrokes is and it’s entirely possible to Multibox competently without them.

No those rules stopped actual unfair advantages & pay to win. We have to have that in the game or people will not play

Besides, those are easy to cheat with, unlike multiboxing. MBing cost $$ for extra accounts and sw/hw and the gold farmers wanna control their costs

LMAOOO
Some of those players are the ones here on the daily begging for “dc protection” or “allowing limited resurrection” and a myriad of other forms of relief from Blizzard’s official too restrictive gameplay.

There’s nothing unfair about multiboxing as Blizzard’s rules allow it. That’s a totally different thing than people multiboxing using broadcast software now. The policy has been linked in this thread but apparently people are unwilling to read it. That’s a shame. But people getting all het up because opie throws out some unfounded accusations also happens on the daily. People gotta stop taking the bait.

you have zero evidence for this :expressionless: pretty sure the people begging for DC appeals are just newbies who have no idea what HC is. not bloodsail players.

a bloodsail player is certainly not asking for revives either.

I said “some” Arielba.
Of course some are freshies too.

You know there are players from Bloodsail asking for it. Lots of people felt it necessary to cheat the addon.

and you have no evidence for that :expressionless:
all bloodsail players I know are happily leveling with no complaints, certainly not stupid ones about needing appeals or revives.

While I have heard whining in chat on DP to the contrary. People saying they are going back to Bloodsail for exactly the reasons I’ve stated.

So anecdotal works for you but not for me.
Nice for you.

people are going back to bloodsail because they want revives? uh sure buddy :expressionless: whatever you say

They want appeals.
Of course they’re fearful of saying they want revives directly because e cred or whatever.

But yes they do.
I’ve heard the dc protection excuse in chat ie a revive/do over. Don’t believe it but it happens. They want to go back to Bloodsail and play with the addon and moderation to review their appeals.

well I’ve been playing HC almost every day and have not seen this, so I think you’re lying but whatever. :expressionless:
I have seen some people talk about how the SSF rules are indeed superior though.

You see what you want. It has happened though.

Just like opie. Actually he probably doesn’t see much of what he posts about since he is simply recycling past hot topics while fantasizing about being an elite player at the gotcha game.

You spelt anecdata wrong.

That person is one of tbose who thinks none of their guildies buy gold because they’re “nice people”.

Or, they’re just disingenuous.

Do they allow input broadcasting again?

You can easily control two characters at the same time without much issue it just depends on how nice your setup is, completely TOS friendly so not bannable. Maybe you think you need software because you’re bad? :person_shrugging:

I’m planning on multi boxing. There’s round robin software that will do the alt tab .

As an example if I’m playing 40 mages I would need to hit the frost bolt key 40x.
So no broadcasting.
