Multiboxing is out of control

Well ok, what’s your proposition for helping people who want to gather themselves instead of buying do so?

I’ve always gathered my own stuff and I don’t actually care that much about multiboxers because I don’t buy from the AH or sell to it – they can screw with prices as they please. The only reason they matter at all to me is because they’re always out harvesting and no matter when I go out to gather, I’m likely to get stuck between the respawn timers they’re ceaselessly spinning and come out with almost nothing.

Lol, that would be amazing if mboxing actually hurt botting.

So if it’s not a problem why be against boxing free servers? Why not offer the option to those who want to experience a world where a minority don’t control the auction house prices? You still get the same content, you are just around more boxers.

This is like saying you shouldn’t be against police searching your home because you have nothing to hide.

So, regular servers then? Multiboxers aren’t controlling AH prices.

bulldink. youre upset and crying because you like to gouge buyers and other players farming ruins that. Your very obvious, sorry to say.

uh…yeah…I made 650,000g in FOUR days flipping when they were doing that a while back.
You know how to flip?
Pretty easy IF the price is as low as you claim.
But we BOTH know youre exaggerating, dont we

all I heard was “muh likes muh gouging…darned farmers”

WHAT???
so its not a problem so Ishould be ok with being segregated to the back of the bus?..
literally WHAT? LMBO.
Keep trying, Im sure you’ll say something that makes sense at some point…

I’m not sure how they’d manage to even enforce that.

But how about this - I multibox on a RP server, mostly so that I can be in ‘two places at once’ and have my characters bicker with each other without the player of the character getting assmad about it because they don’t have a good IC/OOC divide. I have a hard time seeing how this somehow gives me an advantage over people, especially since I would rather watch paint dry than go around spending all my time farming nodes on my two whole accounts at a time.

It seems like the primary issue that you have, though, is with people being able to gather more efficiently than you. Druids can fly around with an instant-cast mount and they don’t have to dismount to loot. Should Druids be on their own server? Some people use alts to coordinate crafting that need multiple crafting disciplines. If you have a high-level leatherworker and a high-level tailor you can make mount equipment without having to buy anything or cooperate with anyone. Should they be on their own server? Some people can afford cash to buy gold to buy up all the available materials and corner markets. Should they be on their own server? How far does this logic go?

“Efficient” is also a big misnomer. If you want to know what it’s like, set up a trial account and try and play that and your main account at the same time. By the time someone gets through all their windows, gotten all the accounts in the same place and didn’t lose anyone on a slightly raised edge, and has manually hit up a node five+ times, you could’ve hit multiple other nodes.

I’m not saying it’s not a problem, you are.

The irony of this statement

IF we assume that MBers are indeed driving down prices world wide and 'robbing people of their time"…
I then have to assume you mean YOU are being ‘robbed of your time’ because the mat prices are low.
However…YOU seem to have NO similar moral position in ‘robbing people of THEIR time’…ie the BUYERS of those mats who have to spend MORE of their time farming gold in order to purchase your mats at gouger prices.

Selective outrage/morality/ethics ?

buh mleh plor smuh

I just want what’s fair. Being able to gather 10x the resources in the same amount of time as another person playing one character puts the non boxer at a disadvantage. Stop with all the morality projecting, its childish.

probably would require the devs to incorporate somethingin the game to detect the unique device ID number all devices have…Microsoft does something similar now, detecting the ID of the processor to validate the copy of windows…at least last I heard.

Easy enough to do, Id imagine.
No reason for them to do it, however. MBing aint harming the economies… Botters on the other hand.

I’m not against certain classes having specific advantages over others, that’s not the issue we are raising on this thread.

So you’ve just got a problem with this one, selective advantage, that isn’t even much of an advantage because of how cumbersome, expensive, and system-resource consuming it is.

Got it.

no…you clearly dont.
IF you did youd do exactly what I do…go farm OTHER things that are making you money and stop trying to coerce more gold out of players than your crap is CLEARLY worth on the market.

So we should also have servers for people who play for different amounts of time? Because heaven forbid someone who can only play an hour a day should have to compete with someone who can play for 8 hours a day.

Strange you would bring this up but I get why you need to. The pro boxing arguments have been pretty poor in this thread.

hmmm yes… I can see it now.
“muh server is slow today…blizzard needs to put players who play more in the back of the bus”

there is no argument for other than NO RULE FORBIDS IT.
Simple enough?

Well if this is how you debate by putting words in other’s mouths I feel sorry for you.
