huh…and yet I can EASILY make 100k a day farming OLD mats and making OLD enchants and gems…even more if I break out the blacksmithing, leatherwrking and alchemy.
I never have to touch current content to do it.

IMO, a small price to pay for being able to reliably gather my own materials in a reasonable amount of time. If I’m buying from the AH it should be because I don’t feel like gathering at that point in time and want to burn gold for a shortcut, not because I can’t find any freaking nodes to gather.
I’m still waiting for a proper explanation as to why you aren’t for boxing free servers. I mean boxers are only good for the game so what’s the problem with all of you having your own servers?
Some of us would really enjoy coming across one person per character. Makes the world seem a lot more realistic.

You’re essentially amputating your leg because you stubbed your toe.
And if they did move to personal nodes, they’d also be reducing the amount you get from each node to compensate for a lack of competition. So you’d end up having to spend even longer farming up 1 item per node.
Meanwhile the bots are making bank and making the game worse for everyone else since they can keep spinning up more and more bots without having to care about any competition. If you lot think server lag is bad now, you haven’t seen anything yet.

uh…no…I dont do it because of MBers…I do it because I like to make gold and Im not dumb enough to think that one area of ‘investment’ is a way to make a return.
I make crap from all expansions in the game…anything that makes me gold because I dont give two ratrumps about the source of that gold.

Not at all. Even compensating for lack of competition, personal nodes mean that harvesting is steady and predictable, and that’s worth a ton. It means I can expect to get X number of Y resource in exchange for spending Z time. Regardless of how slow that may be, it’s an improvement over circling Nazjatar for half an hour and finding 3 zin’athid nodes because I happened to get stuck in a rut between despawn timers.

I keep looking at these threads and wondering who really benefits the most from not having to deal with the few MBers in the game doing gathering. Is it really individual players - who can consciously skip ahead on their gathering route as soon as they see a group tapping a node and get in front of them or…is it more likely that it’s people whose activities can not immediately change to re-route their characters who are directly impacted? You know, like actual botters.

It’s because boxing can have negative effects on a server. Nobody farming a field for their livelihood wants to compete with the guy down the road who owns a mega tractor. He’ll just undercut us out the market because he can farm more with less time.
It’s crazy how you boxing knights actually expect the priviledge of robbing people of their time because they’re playing the game as originally intended.
