Multiboxing griefing

Multi-boxing as a whole is not a good or bad thing. It’s a tool, no different than someone looking at a hammer. You can do good things with that hammer and you can do very bad things with that hammer. But the hammer itself is neither good or bad.

I’ll point the microscope on myself and my game play style and I would like to see where the ruining other players experience may come in.

Before I go into what I do, I’m going to explain why I do what I do when I choose to multi-box.

I don’t like to party with other people. I like being self-sufficient and efficient.

  • I dislike farming
  • I love questing and running dungeons
  • I don’t use the AH
  • I either save mats to use later or vendor them off
  • I don’t PVP
  • I dislike waiting for mail to go between toons
  • I rarely buy things from vendors

I don’t think anything that I do, would be considered a detriment to other players. Maybe I’m missing something?

While I get what you’re saying, if we were having a conversation about people using a hammer to drive nails, I know nobody would have anything bad to say about it. Here, we’re having a conversation about people using a hammer to smack people with.

Do you make the rules for WoW?

Which specific rule says that multiboxing is cheating?

…the result is, multiboxers will continue with their chosen playstyle, because you’re not the boss of the game.

No rules for it. Yet…

It is still cheating.

And they will remain as cheaters.

how about we just put a bell around their neck

If there is no rule against it, how exactly do you arrive at the conclusion that it’s cheating?

your thought process is very interesting.

so… you’re ok with all these bots who farm around the clock, but you’re upset at people who actually play the game… simply because you opted in to pvp.

Cause I said so.

That is obviously looking for a ban.

Again, do you make the rules?

I can if they let me. I will still see it as cheating if they don’t.

So, that’s a no. You don’t actually make the rules, and you don’t get to dictate what is or isn’t cheating.

Glad we could clear that up.

what’s looking for a ban?
who’s looking for a ban?
…the people who are playing by the rules which you don’t like?

It all boils down to how many characters you’re facing off against.

Not a single strawman in my arguments. Try again.

The bots. They are easy to see.

:milk_glass:

If there is no rule against it then it can not possibly be considered cheating.

(falls over laughing because well I read that and heard the voice of my long departed deranged Aunt who after failing to explain some silly belief of hers, like the Flat Earth Society, would just give up and say that and expect it to work)

Lets circle 100 times more for results.

Maybe in one of those circles you’ll finally find a point to your argument.
