it’s more comparable to playing a board game and getting mad people roll both dice at the same time because you believe that it isn’t fair
Big true. Multiboxers are cheating scum.
Multiboxing is allowed. Selling drugs is not.
Because that’s an incredibly important detail that you’re deliberately ignoring so you can pretend to have a point.
Now try again with a real argument instead of some twisted analogy that doesn’t stand up to more than two seconds of scrutiny.
I see you’re not going to even try to come up with a real argument. I guess I’ve been wasting my time attempting to discuss things in good faith.
You purposely ignored the rest of my post lol.
Your whole analogy exists to avoid answering my question.
I did answered your question:
Most people who don’t multibox is because they think it’s cheating (or at least sketchy) and they think it’s bad for the game. The grand majority of players are satisfied with playing one account at the time.
That doesn’t explain why there are people who think multiboxing is fine but also don’t engage in multiboxing.
Which is where you went off the rails with selling drugs and have so far refused to go back on course.
Rankin
“why there are people who think multiboxing is fine but also don’t engage in multiboxing.”
I literally do not know this people. Maybe someone here could illuminate us.
Maybe you could try reading the thread? The same thing you accused me of not doing.
You claimed multiboxing gives an advantage. You have yet to even attempt to explain why more people don’t multibox. You just keep babbling about how a few people view it as cheating, or some insane rant about selling drugs being the same thing basically.
So why don’t more people multibox if it’s so amazing?
Me.
I think it’s fine, if it’s done in a legitimate fashion.
I would never do it, I think it’s cheap and taudry and undermines the entire experience.
But I’m fine with people doing it aslong as they stay within the rules.
Currently it’s quite clear that many, more than many are not staying within the rules and that’s the issue.
If a guy can afford 8 accounts, and can tab between them to tag his mobs and do what he wants… who am I to stop him.
When he starts paying some dude on a shady forum for software that does it all for him… then I’m against it.
90% of them now use some shady software from a dodgy forum they are paying more for per month than their WoW subscriptions.
People used to Multibox all the time and we just bit our tongues, left the BG he was farming, or zone he was ruining and got on with our game.
Currently though…
It’s thousands of Druid bots who are all so spread out and clearly automated that the line is no longer blurred, it’s crystal clear, and shining like a beacon that they are NOT controlling those accounts anymore.
Lately I see Hunters who spam Pet Fetch, constantly, from the second they log in to the second they log out, while doing all their other actions… Pet fetch keeps running, you can see their cast bar if you target them, when they stand still they sheathe and unsheathe their weapons over and over, and over, even actual “players” now are using automation because people are turning a blind eye to it.
That’s the issue.
The software simply emulates a hardware solution.
That’s just botting. Don’t lump them in with multiboxing.
Those people running those bots say “It’s just multiboxing”.
So can’t be both.
Are you serious? It feels like you are getting hanged up on the drug stuff really heavy, sorry, could’ve given a better example, i tried and you just didn’t care.
- Why don’t more people multibox?
- Accounts that have to paid, hence, this is pretty close if anything to P2W, as the more accounts you have tied together, the faster you can farm certain stuff, it’s a net time gain no matter what. Instead of the time of 2 people invested in 2 accounts you save overall manpower by having one person control multiple accounts.
- Why don’t people do it? Ethics, money, and immersion probably; or just lazy.
- Just because some people find it ok, doesn’t mean that other do. At the end of the day we are all aware that blizzard is the one that makes the rules, multiboxing seems to be within the rules but a lot of players (including me) would prefer that wasn’t so.
Groups of any kind break immersion for me!
Do you seriously think that blizzard lets multiboxers play for free?
Do you really think that tokens on the AH just appear out of nowhere?
like holy crap.
Blizzard makes MORE per 30 days of game time via token sales than they do via subscription.
It does not take someone with even a grade school education to realize that, so I think you can get the concept.
but here, I’ll break it down for you
Scenario 1
Player A buys token for $20, puts it on the AH. Player B buys it and applies it for 30 days gametime to their account
Scenario 2
Player B pays 14.99 for 30 days gametime to thier account.
Now, in which scenario does blizzard make more money?
the real chump in this equation is Player A who paid $20 for a pitiful amount of gold and put that token on the AH.
Just because they claim it’s multiboxing doesn’t mean anything. They could just be using the term to attempt to deter people from reporting them to Blizzard.
So you are paying to win? I mean you have one account.
Lazy even though they fairly could do it if they wanted to.
Who cares what anyone outside of Blizzard thinks?
And just because you claim that it’s not, you could just be trying to deter investigation also.
That works both ways.
I’ll keep reporting them either way until it’s clear they are controlling the accounts again.
They’re not helping their cause, they’re hurting it.
