Mount water-walking equipment disappeared

Mount Equipment Gone

So I logged back in after playing for awhile this afternoon and I noticed my Water Walking mount equipment was no longer equipped? The slot is just empty? This isn’t intended right? Edit: It looks like I still have the effect, it just shows I have nothing equipped

OMG, I’m so glad I’m not crazy cuz I couldn’t see my equipment installed and I’m not the only one having this issue. I noticed my slot was “empty” yesterday and asked in guild if anyone else was having the same problem…not one person said theirs was missing.
I thought maybe I imagined installing the equipment (like having a serious senior moment; aka brainfart) and so I tried installing it again (mailed one from an alt) but got a message saying ‘do I really want to override current equipment’. The “prongs” in the 4 corners are turned in like something is in the slot but it appears empty and the text is the same as before installing “Enhance your mounts with Mount Equipment”.
The water walking effect works like it’s installed but, again, the slot appears empty.
I’ve tried logging onto another character and back, resetting my UI, etc. but that hasn’t fixed the issue.

well, for me, the slots all appear empty, and the effect doesn’t work either. as a (sort of?) bonus, the water strider has magically started walking on water again. very strange.

This is the same thing that has happened to me. My mounts worked for a few days even with the enhancement not showing properly, but today no luck. However, tried my water strider and he’s working great.
