So I logged back in after playing for awhile this afternoon and I noticed my Water Walking mount equipment was no longer equipped? The slot is just empty? This isn’t intended right?
Edit: It looks like I still have the effect, it just shows I have nothing equipped
The same thing just happened to me. I logged back in and it’s gone.

Got disconnected every time I tried to jump above water, log back in to have it vanished.
I also had mine disappear, but the effect is gone as well. I applied the item to the mount page, and played for a few hours, and it was working fine. I dropped a new lock-box and mailed it to my rogue, was interested in seeing what was in it as it was a new kind of box, so I switched to that toon and checked my mail. I noticed the item, but did not apply it, as all provided info says it works on all mounts, figured I would not need to apply it again. (also used to Blizz mailing me duplicate items to EVERY toon for the last 15 years). I logged back onto my main, and shortly found my mount was not walking on water. Checked mount tab, and item was gone from tab.
Logged back onto the rogue, and that item was gone from its bags.
Sent a ticket,
Obviously, something went wrong here IE: they did not account for multiple toons, a horrible mistake.
Now I have to wait and suffer because I have NO mounts that can walk on water, in an expansion full of it.
Get this fixed Blizz.
i hope they fixx this quick. its fkin retarded to have any item disappear. my water strider is useless and i got nothing for it.
Same is happening to me. Received the free mount equipment in the mail. Applied it. Worked fine. Logged in this morning and the equipment is gone from the mount page and the water walking no longer works. Have submitted an in-game ticket.
Same here. Looked through all my alts, and they are all gone.

my poor saddlechute is gone and i nearly died when falling, assuming it was gonna be there. whee!
Same. Item is gone but my Strider is back to working without it. At least there’s that. Wonder if there was something wrong with the item, or if they accidentally sent to to players who hadn’t actually earned a strider, and had to reverse it for everyone to fix it.
Lost my water walking and the effect is not working, got killed by an ally that i was trying to escape from by crossing water. Since 8.2 launch i’m having regular disconnects as well. Big case of the " if it’s not broken don’t fix it" , blizzard should never have touched water striders.
Similar thing for me, too. Logged in on patch day… equipped it, fresh from my mailbox and it was fine. Logged in today to grab the Sylverian Dreamer out of its gift box, and notice that the equipment box is empty. However, water walking still seems to be functioning for me, for now (out of combat, of course).

Yep, same thing. My characters that had the mount equipment assigned no longer have it and the effect is no longer there. On the plus side, my Water Strider does still walk on water, so there’s that at least. I logged on to an alt and looked in the mailbox and the item is there. Not going to install until issue is fixed
Same thing happening to me. Applied the water walking equipment to every character above 100 (even though Blizz originally said it would be account-wide), and I bought extra water walking equipment yesterday, applied it to all of my sub-60 level alts. Now the slot appears empty for every single one of them. Thankfully the water walking effect still seems to be there.
Please address Blizzard!
It completely gone from my main and on my alt I didn’t even receive it in the mail.
Same thing here, equipped it on my main yesterday, today I log in and its totally gone. Not happy.
