Ok so you are trolling.
For everyone else, fighting skilled pvpers is definitely not getting it for free. Its actually vastly harder than fighting a scripted event

What did I do to troll?
Genuinely asking.
WoW is not a PVP centric game. So PVP should not be the prime gearing method.
I didnt say fighting skilled pvpers is getting gear for free. I said you personally want your gear for free.
because people are arguing the gear should come from the most hardest (challenging content). Scripted events arenāt challenging compared to fighting actual players where they are extremely unpredictibleā¦wellā¦hmmmā¦skilled pvp players, there is definitely a line there like there is for PVE
If those arguing for the best gear should come from most challenging content, it be PvPā¦high end mythic behind itā¦uhā¦then the rest
To add, not saying high end mythic is easy btw. Just fighting skilled pvp players is harder
I am sure you have a lot of experience doing the easy scripted events in WoW.
Also. Every AWC with commentators I have watched, they are regularly able to predict the next 2-3 minutes of action.
And once again.
WoW is not a PVP centric game. Why are you ignoring this?
Iām not ignoring it, though I did add high end mythic isnāt easy in a post-edit, just skilled pvp players are harder to fight with their unpredictibility. Wellā¦you can make mythic super random I guess and unpredictible, like a roguelike. Maybe blizzard tried it before, tbh not sure.
But if the argument is only hard content can get (the best) gear, then why not from PvP? Doesnāt matter if WoW focus has been mythics, if the argument is only the hardest content can get (the best) gearā¦thatsā¦pvpā¦not low end pvp mind you
ā¦but you can get gear from PVP
Actually no one argued that. The argument was that all three of the modes threat award hero track should be equally difficult.
PvP is easier than itās ever been to climb due to shuffle and Considering PvP gear scales to full mythic ilvl.
Yiu really have no idea what youāre talking about.
yeah I covered that. Its only good for PvP (which before one laughs and says āwell its PVP DURā), and some patches PVE gear has been better for some classes, right now PvP gear is better for PvP gear. I loop back that its generally the hardest content, and it should be vastly superior then high end mythics behind itā¦and the rest. Which before one goes that WoW isnāt pvp focusedā¦I loop back that the whole reason I bring up PvP is because people are arguing that the only gear for PVE progress should come from mythics and nothing else.
When my opinion is gear should be gotten from raids, pvp, mythics, co-op or whatever content it isā¦just some content it should take a ton longer to get it if its easier than other content
So the PVP side game gives PVP gear and it is on par with the best gear in the game for PVP.
Thats awesome.
That sounds like a system working as intended.
Zero people have made this argument.
You are now overly simplifying what was stated, and in the process pushing a narrative no one stated.
There is still a couple PVE things you need to get depending on class, which probably shouldnāt be a thing, but otherwiseā¦probably yeah lol. But before I continueā¦
yes people have made this argument in this very thread. āWoW is not a solo game, its a social MMORPGā which is fineā¦ and then post uhā¦way up top I think post # 6 is someone who is against gearing up for casual players.
Someone else brought up a feature like visions (which I āthinkā is coming next patch?) and gate keeping and someone said it was a post of irony and seemed to be against it, but couldnāt really tell so maybe they werenāt. Either way, there has been a few people come out that only gear from mythics, and none for the casual players
And outside this thread, any time someone asks for casual content gearing (even if it takes a lot longer to get) there is always people that come out against it.
hence my example that pvp could be the only way to get gear (or at least only way to get the best gear), is my actual response to those people. its the SAME argument they are making is actually the point.
I stayed with WoW for 20 years and counting. WoW has a simple formula. Effort = Rewards. More Effort = More Rewards.
Solo started in leveling. Thatās easy. Everyone can do it. You would see lots of Green quality items. While in Solo, there would be mob encounters where you find impossible for Solo. Like when you discover a dungeon. You went in and you found elite mobs and Bosses. You realized that you cant do them alone. So you grouped up with 5-man group. For your effort of defeating mobs/bosses in dungeon, it rewarded you with blue quality gear. And at max level, when you reach a certain gear level, you are eligible to do a Heroic dungeon that drops better Blue quality item. As you progress, you would encounter a Raid dungeon that cant be beaten by just 5 players. So you formed a Raid groupā¦ around 10 to 20 players. And beating such Raid dungeon with its mobs and Bosses rewards you Epic Quality gear.
As you could see in my exampleā¦ Solo = Easiest, 5-man = Normal hard and 10 to 20 man raid = Hardest. Solo will never ever going to be harder than 5-man dungeons just like a 5-man dungeon will never ever going to be harder than 20 man raid. Solo getting Mythic Raid quality gear? Are you nuts? a Raider could Solo too. He could get Mythic Raid quality reward and it would make his Mythic Raid a cakeā¦ Worse is it would make Mythic Raid a joke. So Mythic Raiding got beaten becoz each of their Raiders got Mythic Raid gear from Soloing? It wont happen. Keep dreaming.
The Delve is already generous on its rewards. And itās more generous on Season 2. Impossible to fail on Mythic+ becoz of this giveaway.
Can you quote a single person that stated
No. That is not what people were saying at all.
You got on to me for missing the point, then you sit here and not only miss it, but edit it.
They are not saying THE ONLY GEAR should come from āMYTHICSā and no one else deserves any gear period.
You seem to think BIS gear is the only gear in the game, and the only progress in the game.
Is that what I am understanding?
No, it literally isnt
ācontent rewarding the same gear should be equal in difficultyā is not the same as āthe only gear that should ever drop anywhere in WoW should be from mythic raidsā
Youāre clueless is making my head hurt.
Well before we continueā¦the point of most MMOs outside a few, and most games, FOR ME (for someone else it may be different), is to get stronger. That means depending on the gameā¦higher skill level, higher level, or in WoWās case, better gear.
So not getting stronger is not progressing for me.
I do like collecting transmog and pets though, but thats a side gig.
I also donāt like mythics.
Thats fine.
But the point of most MMOs is that to get stronger, you do tougher content.
The risk vs reward system. Its cornerstone to MMOs and RPGs.
If you choose not to progress, you have to understand the consequences of those actions.
I would love some of the PVP rewards. But I dont PVP. So I accept I wont get those rewards. I dont demand they be changed to fit my personal playstyle.
Again for the third time. Weāre only advocating that delves difficulty actually be equal to keys and raid.
Considering delves difficulty is extremely low thatās more than fair.
So youāre going to cap out sooner since you donāt actually do any hard content. Thatās how the game works.
yes, butā¦
In EQ, I did raids
In EQ2 I did raids
In EVE, i got better ships and pvped and got more skills
In mortal online got better skills
FFXIV I dabbled in raiding (the harder (but not the top end)), but I wasnāt a fan of FFXIV so was hard to get into in general
So I actually DO group stuff, but Iām just not a fan of mythics is all. There should be way more gearing options than ONE single road. And I guess EQ there was only one single road (but they werenāt mythics lol), but stillā¦I feel there should be a lot of oppurtunities to progress that isnāt mythics
Do you have any issue with the following statement?
āIf different roads to gearing give the same quality reward, they should strive to have similar difficultyā
nope. I actually want challenging co-op/small group and solo content.
Tbh, I get bored if I plow through the game on cheat mode. A good example is beorning in LOTRO, its literally turning on godmode, pressing ONE button (thrash) and winning the game to max level.
I dunno what other casual players want, but Iād like a challenge. Iām just not a fan of mythic is all being that challenge if that makes sense
There is.
Delves
Mythic plus
Raiding.
The issue is that delves arenāt difficult enough to award the level of gear itās rewarding.
