You wouldn’t have massive packet loss on multiple jumps…
I have been having these issues as well and I don’t even play on Moon Guard. However, I am not sure if they are the same issues everyone else here is having. Coincidentally, this started happening around the launch of Diablo IV.
For me, I can disconnect up to 8+ times before it finally stabilizes, and this only happens with WoW. When I play Overwatch 2, I have zero issues. I can’t say anything about Diablo since I haven’t gotten around to playing it much, though a friend of mine has the same issue in Diablo IV, but not in WoW.
To go into detail about what happens on my end, after about 15 minutes or so the game will just hang, and if I click anywhere in the game while it does so, I have the option to end process or wait. If I wait (which would take 2-3 minutes), it will almost always take me back to the log in screen saying I have been disconnected. Therefore, I always just end the process because it’s faster than waiting on something that amounts to nothing.
Edit: I’m sure it’s just a fluke, but I just did that IP Address Release/Renew and DNS Flush command and I haven’t disconnected after being on the game for about 40+ minutes now. No harm in trying though, I think!
I am also having issue with Moon Guard. Around the Diablo 4 release I would get constant DCs. Once right after logging into WoW, then every 15-20 minutes after.
Now I’m trying to log in today and I can’t even load the character screen. The bar at the top fills up halfway before disconnecting me back to the login screen.
First time getting back into WoW since D4 launched. Me and my girlfriend are both having constant disconnects either at the character select screen, or 20 seconds after loading in game we get booted.
We’re both on Moonguard. I am connecting from Newfoundland, Canada. She is in Quebec, Canada.
I was able to get past the character screen DCs by clearing my cache, but then I continue to disconnect every 5-10 minutes. One time in a dungeon it was every 30 seconds or so before it finally stabilized.
Update from my previous post. 2 more days have passed since the D4 event is over and since I’ve got the new Bnet patch (ver. 2.22.0), no more random soft disconnects (even during the most populated times. Nothing. Hope the issue gets resolved for Moon Guard soon too.
Wicked goes to an alt to pretend he didn’t get called out by tons of people including Blizzard. Please ban this guys account from the tech forums. They are constantly trolling these forums and gaslighting people trying to get help.
On Moon Guard, been having the same issues. Usually, I could get a stable connection by toggling the Optimize Network for Speed but now I’m having issues nonstop and as of right now, I cannot stay logged in more than 20 seconds on any character.
Thanks for the tip!
I gave this method a try, since I’ve tried most other things I figured why not. It worked, at least so far it has. I spent three+ hours on earlier without a hitch. About to get on again and hopefully it will still be working.
Edit: Update: So far this has still been working in game but I do occasionally get disconnected at the character selection screen. Not sure why but I’ll take that over bumped offline in the middle of a fight.

I need to throw this out here. I posted a bit earlier about the same issue. Had uninstalled and reinstalled, no success. Right after I posted it occurred to me, the only thing I hadn’t done was manually log out of the launcher and back in. I did that and as soon as I logged in, i got the pop for the patch notes for the first time. I ran a scan and repair, it did do a very quick update. Logged back in and completed the entire quest I hadn’t been able to do for the past two weeks. There were no issues at all. I logged out and in on all 13 characters I have on MG, no black screen. This is the first time in two weeks. May want to try it if you haven’t."
This is great news! Glad the issues have been clearing up and thanks for following up here.
Fingers crossed we can get some movement on this as well soon.
Greetings,
Tech Specialist Ektiledil at your service! Thank you for taking the time to reach back out to us. Technical problems can be quite frustrating to deal with, and I appreciate your patience as we troubleshoot your issue.
I’ve looked into this for you and it looks like our Dev team has made some tweaks to the Moonguard realm this morning (June 20). Please retest and let us know if disconnects keep happening.
Thank you sincerely for your time and patience.
Best regards,

I’m seeing the same disconnect behavior to 137.221.70.120 with no issues occuring on 137.221.69.152, as is another on my friends list. But, please let us know in the thread if anyone sees any change!
Moonguard here after server reset, still having the disconnect problem.
Same here. I wasn’t even able to log in all the way before getting disconnected on the loading screen.
Update: Well, that didn’t last long. I’m back to disconnecting at random and at the character select screen. sigh
MG player Here. Reporting that these disconnects haven’t stopped after reset. I’m kinda effing tired of it. Tired of it every time after I log into a toon, tired of people constantly getting dc’d during M+ and messing up the runs.
I’m losing patience as well. I died twice today because of disconnects. That starts to get old, fast. I have to hope people are working on this and come up with a solution soon.
I got disconnected several times yesterday out of nowhere. Moon guard characters, all guilded.
Happened between 7:00 and 10:30 ish eastern. Was mostly spent in Tiragarde Sound, out of combat, in a raid group.
Reporting that I’m on Moon Guard and experiencing these issues for weeks since Diablo event. I have attempted your command prompt method of finding the 152 result and it has for me always fixed my disconnection issues when making certain I get that result. Thank you for all the hard work attempting to figure this out!
MG player here, I also been getting random disconnects and also error 132 crashes that follow up. I jumped to Wyrmrest Accord to level an alt and I never experienced any crashes or disconnects throughout my hours of playtime there today. When i switched back to MG and hung around for a few mins, I was disconnecting and crashing again.
This was never an issue before but started happening a few weeks ago.
Fellow Moonguardian here, just chiming in that I’ve been experiencing the Character Select screen disconnects and the disconnect after being logged in for ~1 minute or so very frequently (not always) for the past few weeks as well
